Aside from the seller of these on ebay has there been any other corroboration for that? I've heard that story too but no one else has ever backed it up. Did they do any other players? If not it's a massive coincidence they picked a random youth player for Barcelona who turned into the seasons hottest ticket.

I have not heard any corroboration; however, if you research a bit you will see that Panini do these sort of tours in all the major leagues it produces stickers for. It does not shock me that they provide stickers as a gift for attending these conferences, just like Panini does when you attend major shows in the US like the National. I cannot definitively say this is accurate, but given the story I heard and experiences I have had here, I can see it being accurate.

I would not call this a rookie though, and still believe his Megacracks is his 1st REAL rookie, but it's definitely one worth having given it being a legitimate sticker by Panini. Could very well be considered an XRC type.

The original seller of the raw Fati stickers listed them as customs. The same individual when later scrutinized tried to claim that they were from a Panini tour that year. But has never provided details about the tour.

I know what you mean but for example when Topps made the Bundesliga Chrome preview convention set the news was shared and the cards sold by lots of different people and the set contained several big names. This just doesn't smell right; zero corroboration, changing story (the convention aspect only came up when challenged it was a custom), odd set (mypanini with an Este Liga logo) and odd player selection (why chose a single random youth player to promote a set?).

Not wanting to scare anyone but do we need to worry that Fati was in the mock-ups for both Chronicles and UCL Museum but didn't appear in the final product. Are Barcelona playing hardball now that he's a much bigger star than when the early season releases came out?

No chrome would be a disappointment. But a huge boost for everything else. Especially MGK and La Liga stickers.

I can see Topps just being Topps and forgetting to put him in. I find it odd that are promoting him in '20-21 TC. If I was Topps, I would be promoting him in '19-20. Help boost release excitement...BUT then again, it's Topps.

No need to promote something you sold out months ago with 1/2-1/3 the print run. No need to really promote either... but 20-21 pre-orders (allocation) due 11/4 have to get that thing out there.

Not being in chrome will give a boost to MGK and La Liga stickers!

I hope he's not in Chrome as I'm not buying it at these prices and have the others as I was an early adopter of the Fati

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but for me the TC either in 19/20 or 20/21 will most likely be my preferred RC followed by the RT. TC UEFA is my favorite product so no brainer for me. I have all of them but the Topps Now which personally not a fan of any of those cards. Seems odd to buy cards in that way but to each their own.

I do think since early grading seems so hard o the MGK prices will be higher that the other cards in PSA 10 giving it the illusion of being the preferred RC but will see how the pop reports shake up in a few months. Will it be 2014 Prizm or 2006 WC where one crashed and the other increased in PSA 10 because of grading issues.

With MGK and Stickers, because of the releases only being in Europe and the poor packaging/shipping that generally occurs with the product itself and dealers over there, it makes those 2 cards very difficult to grade itself. I do not expect to see similar change in pop with those in comparison to WC Prizm. Let's remember the 2014 Prizm was an American Release and containment and packaging was much better than 2006. These international releases will remain hard grades, thus the better grades of PSA 9, BGS 9.5, PSA 10, and BGS 10 will always be in high demand.

As for the Chrome, I do not believe he will feature in 19-20 because of the lack of an identity he had especially when the product originally was suppose to release. Remember it wasn't until recent when Fati began to really surface. It wasn't until about Chronicles time did he begin to showcase his true talent and breaking into the 1st team starting 11. He barely did anything in 19-20 UCL and most the time was off the bench.

I may be biased because I do own one of the 3 PSA 10 Cracked Ice Contenders, and if he does not feature in Topps Chrome, will make the Cracked Ice arguably the Holy Grail outside the 1/1 for his rookies. I also just from the releases of recent can see No Fati and Topps wanting to save him for 2020-21 as a face for the product.

He was in Chronicles, just the Mock-Up for Topps Museum which was wrong. I think Topps is personally saving him as a face to sell the product next year in 2020-21. When the products were originally suppose to release in 2019-20, he wasn't even on their radar.

What do you all think of the Fati Contenders? I have 2 of them, and have been debating listing them for the last few weeks...but have decided to wait.

I'm not big into soccer, and I've been getting mixed reviews from people who follow it more.

Incredibly popular set. Personally his better rookie out of the American Releases.

I think a lot will be determined by which releases become regulars. I think his particular one is a bit bland looking but if Contenders sticks around it'll rise up due to its heritage in other sports. Supposedly we're getting Obsidian again too which will help that one. I don't think GS will be missed by many if that doesn't come back.

It would shock me if Panini does not release Chronicles again. That was a massive success on their part with the release. The Tickets, Pitch Kings, and Silhouettes were big positives when they were released.

I don't doubt we'll get Chronicles again, they just might mix up some of the brands from year to year though (like other sports). I also wouldn't be surprised if some of them eventually spin off into their own stand alone releases, especially Contenders and Pitch Kings.

I think Topps would shoot themselves in the foot if they put him in 2019/2020 instead of 2020/2021. Of course that could just be thinking about right now and get the money while they can as they have done pretty much every time before. If they save him they can roll out his traditional release “Topps Rookie” across all the Champions League brands. Chrome, Finest, Museum. If they put him in 2019 Chrome they missed on Finest and Museum. Saving him also gives more value to the Topps Now they released so people will become more aware of that if there is no other. They seem to want to push Topps Now so why devalue one of your potentially most value Topps Now cards. I also think if he was coming in Chrome he would’ve been in this Museum. I’ve been wrong before and I’ll be wrong again though so who knows.

Topps can put him in 2020 products and call them RCs, but they won’t be.
