IMO ... (and I know these are just feelings) ... it doesn't feel like that at all. I mean, Nate Silver basically wrote a concession two days ago.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...can-still-win/

For context ... Silver is saying both that (1) Biden is at 90%, and (2) Biden must win PA. Those two statements don't exactly align.

Who knows.

9:41 am ET; Republicans have now passed Democrats in total ballots cast in the Florida election. They've made up the 110,000 vote deficit in the first 2.6 hours.

The pace will slow; because it HAS to. But it's an amazing start for Red.

Cumberland County PA, which Trump won by more than 20k votes in 2016, might not have all mail in votes counted until the end of the week.

The Chinese must be sitting around thinking "I can't believe these idiots might vote out the only person that was going to take us on because we unleashed a virus on the world and killed over 200k of them, what luck lol"

You really can't make this whole situation up.

My wife and I got married about two weeks ago and she still hasn't received her paperwork back for her name change, so we were a bit worried if we'd run into any issues this morning. Due to COVID, she had to mail in her drivers license, so the only form of ID she had is a university ID, along with our marriage certificate, and her voter registration ID card.

I was standing in line next to her as we were getting signed in and the people were pretty thorough checking the documentation to make sure it was legit.

Why is that relevant? You are obviously just baiting something to argue about.

But here's my answer. I doubt you'll like it.

I've lived in 6 different states...Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan, Texas, Arizona, and South Florida. I've seen the different cultures of those areas and I can compare how certain types of people have acted. Here's why that matters to me:

I doubt you're aware, but about 7 years back while living in Arizona, I was involved in a car accident. It was pretty bad and as a result I am permanently scarred. I have burn scars on my face and arms, I walk with a limp, and I lost nearly all of my hearing. When I was living in AZ, I found that when I went out in public, people sometimes stared and always treated me differently. I absolutely hate that.

Down here the culture is different. I suspect it's because of the hispanic culture being so dominant, but people don't really care about what others are all about. Nobody looks twice (or at least it's rare). They simply don't care. I feel like people could walk around with underwear on their head and nobody would even notice, let alone say something.

It's like being on island time. It's just more relaxed. The rat race culture of the north is muted here. People just don't care. And that attitude carries over into other areas of life. There's a very "do your thing" vibe down here. I dig it.

There. You have my answer. I'm sure you won't accept it, but that's okay. Do your thing.

Thank you, it's been great! We had to obviously revamp our original 250+ person church wedding to a family-only, outdoor ceremony due to COVID. Happy to report everything went smoothly and no one in attendance got sick as a result, which is a relief. We aren't partiers at all, so the lack of any booze and dancing at the reception helped.

You as well! Being a Missourian, even though any presidential election is basically automatic for the state, I definitely want to appreciate the freedoms we have in America, because a lot of people would love to have the right to elect their government officials. Furthermore, the state and local elections are what I care about more anyway.

The goal was to have R+5 in this county by the end of the night; we may be well past that if this trend continues to hold. 10 hours of voting left (will die down after lunch). But the same trends are true in every county.

Had to leave my jersey and hat in car

In the polling place, you cannot display campaign T-shirts, buttons or literature which relate to specific candidates, official political parties, or ballot questions on the ballot that day."

The relevance of me not making the claim is that I asked you to support your claim.

Thank you. You have trashed the rest of Florida along the way. How is South Florida better than Sarasota, or Gainesville, or Pensacola?

Can we get a new poll up?
Something along the line of should a new sub forum be made just for Coach and Rachel?

Arrived at my polling place 10 minutes before it opened. Line was a bit longer than 2016 even with social distancing factored in. Took about an hour for my wife and I total.

Funny thing my wife asked while in line. This is her first time. "So do we just show id then get a ballot and vote?" I lol'd and said "you would think, that would make sense right?" No no you just tell them your name and address sign your name and vote away! Needless to say she was a bit shocked. Seems like that opens the door for a lot of fraud she said. Yes it sure does.

Because having some sort of proof in any form of ID that is just absurd and it's voter suppression.

It wouldn't be necessary if he just wouldn't ask the same question a dozen times after it was answered.
