Hahaha, there's a massive disclaimer on that. I think he bounces back somewhat this year...his rookie year was way more impressive than soph. largely due to coaching decisions/minutes.

Also this may sound crazy, but don't sleep on the legend that is GOGA, aka Lady GOGA, aka GOGOD.

1. Kevin Durant
2. Kyrie Irving
3. Caris LaVert

Nets are going to be good and these 3 will all see increased attention. Everyone is sleeping on them due to the injuries last year. Kinda a what have you done for me lately scenario.

My body is ready for this. I've already set aside money from Luka sales for finals tickets at Barclays

1. LeBron
2. LeBron
3. LeBron

If you look at 90s cards, the delta between MJ and everyone else (other than Kobe, but he was unproven at the time) from a hobby perspective is enormous. If I could go back in time to 1996-1998, I would be begging and borrowing every penny I could find to buy more and more rare and semi-rare MJ inserts.

I think history repeats itself and have been buying accordingly for the last three years. Short-term there will be lots of excitement, but long-term it will be awfully hard for anyone to match up with the big two.

I feel like there needs to be a rehab facility for Kevin Knox investors.

The game with LeBron is all about finding the right stuff.

What some of the newbie's didn't get right is that they were buying overproduced stuff at peak prices, all while pop reports were still rising.

I see 3 areas of LeBron that to me will go down as the most collected:
-Rookie year PSA 10s/BGS 10. Just not enough of them to go around
-Topps/Upper Deck Era Refractors and High End Autos
-Panini Era Rare parallels and case hit inserts

What's interesting is that when we look back on LeBron's career from a collection standpoint, it's the panini era stuff that will be the rarest and toughest cards to find:

*Early Prizm Silvers are very short printed compared to later years and TC Refractors
*Prizm Golds /10 will always be sought after. That number is ridiculously low. Golds of all the tip top stars across basketball and football should be the defining cards of this era for vets
*Case hits like Galactic, Optic Preview, and Color Blast are becoming the notable cards of this era and some of the most important cards for player collectors.

100% agree with this. To be clear, I am not suggesting buying his 18th year /175 disco purple stars parallel cards from flagship or other secondary brands. I meant the good stuff that you mentioned and lots of other under the radar case hit type stuff that I think looks perty (and is also hard to come by).

Jaylen Brown has all the makings of a guy who could 2x his value with a couple really nice Finals runs, maybe a title or two. Certanly possible. I also think Shamet is a steal right now... its a good cheap gamble.

Unfortunately don't think we will be going to any games this year.

However, I had from a good source that right before the pandemic hit, season ticket prices were going to double again, meaning they will have increased 4x from 2018/19 season prices. Pretty disheartening.

Of cards that are going to have high prices:

1) Cam Reddish - though his ceiling is limited with Trae on the team
2) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
3) Zion - his prices have dropped a lot, will probably go back to where they were by the start of the season and then will skyrocket again once he starts playing and dominating. I probably should've put him #1.

Agree 110 percent on Zion.

Shai is probably my #4 guy. I’m really on the fence with him so I didn’t buy too much. He definitely has a lot of room for growth though and his buy in right now isn’t high risk. Pulling for him and JJJ out of the 18-19 class.

Yes currently Zion is a tremendous buy. Won’t take much for wax/quality singles to shoot back up.

Mostly Durant. He has an impressive resume already. Also like Harden. If he wins a title, his stuff would blow up.
