I don't disagree, but I think this is an issue with society today, in general - regardless of political affiliation.

Why take the time, effort, and will-power to recognize your faults and improve when it's so convenient and easy to blame someone else? Looking yourself in the mirror and recognizing the issues hurts, and hurts even worse to improve them... having someone pat you on the back and tell you your faults are justified makes everyone feel all warm and fuzzy.

It's gross. Especially in America, of all places.

First and foremost, Pfizer has not ever claimed to be part of Operation Warp Speed, nor does that press release on "July 22nd which clearly said they were part of the program."

To most businesses, getting a purchase order does not make you part of the company. So Pfizer never professed to be part of Operation Warp Speed, they simply announced that they had a guaranteed order if they were able to come up with a vaccine.

Basically, it comes down to semantics as to whether or not Pfizer was actually "part of" Operation Warp Speed. Define as you wish.

One of the primary goals of Operation Warp Speed was to limit the financial exposure of companies who were part of the race for the research and development a vaccine (as well as subsequent delivery of the vaccine, etc.).

Numerous pharmaceutical companies took part in this funding. Pfizer did not. Pfizer was indeed on the outside. What Pfizer received was a guaranteed order of 100 million doses if they could produce an effective vaccine. They announced their effective vaccine today.

Yes, a guaranteed order was on the books, however they received zero research and development funding and insulation from Operation Warp Speed.

In regards to deficit spending, where do you stand?

Given that the previous high yearly budget deficit was $1.4T in 2009 and we are looking to top $3T in 2020 and $2T in 2021, what should we do?

Option 1) cut spending
Option 2) raise taxes
Option 3) both 1 and 2
Option 4) keep on keepin' on. It's all good.

I feel like Trump's continued denial being backed by some in the Republican Party is evidence that they are trying to utilize that passion to win the Senate run-offs in Georgia.

Once again, Trump's insanity is being utilized for a greater gain by the Republican Party. Kudos to them, I guess.

As a Dem, I really wish we had someone who knew how to play the game as well as Republicans. Half the time I don't even think they are playing the same sport.
