My personal leaning is towards the auto, but curious what others would do. There have been a lot of nice cards posted here today! Also slightly nervous as luka market in general is red hot right now, which tends to be the wrong time to buy. In this case though not sure there is a right time.

I agree. 1st year Contenders Optic is the way to go. A cheaper option would be a Certified "Rookie Roll Call" auto or "Certified Potential"... those also feature the legit auto.

Congrats on your collection., it is incredibly impressive! You don’t need to pump your autos and pump conspiracy theories. Even sets with “legit” autos contain “lulu” autos. It’s clear he has multiple signing styles. I’m sure those holding NT RPA lulu autos are crying at the low price due to the “lulu” auto. I’m sure they would trade it for a optic contenders with legit driving force straight up.

After running to the bank for an errand, I decided to pull out some Luka so I could chime in with some of my collection highlights. I obtained most of these prior to the first Luka surge and the rest prior to the second surge in his prices.

I also want to thank all the great contributors in this thread as they pointed out some of these key cards I sought out early, such as the courtside silver and the obsidian base.

Edit: it doesn’t show well but the UD is the patterned rainbow parallel

Earlier in the year I picked up about dozen sticker autos each for under $350, most under $300. I ended up quickly selling 9 of them for between $500-$600 each. They are all $1,000+ cards at this point, most likely on their way to $1,500. It is bonkers.

Imagine if they draft a good player, make a good trade, or get a key FA signing (unlikely given their cap situation).

And we still have over a month till Dec 22nd.
