His prices are baking in 3 MVPs and Multiple Rings

sitting on an Immaculate RPA Premium Patch /25 and trying to justify holding it is a painful brain exercise when the /14 is up to 39k right now

I think he is a generational talent but these prices are crazy where Giannis was and still is a few months ago.

I'm not sure he needs multiple mvps I think one will do but he will need atleast 2 championships and I firmly beileve he will accomplish both, you have to consider he isn't even in his prime yet and with Mark Cuban as the owner all that man wants to do is win

Agree with this 100% - I refuse to believe that a team with Mark Cuban as the owner and Luka in his prime will not win championships.

Sweet card to have of Luka, but there is limited love for non-Blue with the exception of probably the green parallels due to color combo of Mavs alternate. I think all the Chronicles stuff will be making upward runs, especially numbered stuff. Prizm is liquid because of numbers, but nothing non-numbered in Prizm or optic is rare.

Yeah it was one of those situations where I wasn't in the market for it but had the funds and it was there so I figured why not. Purple is another unpopular one so curious what the Phoenix on ebay ends up selling for

Mavericks. is such a great organization. I know Cuban and team have taking some hits publicly about some of their decisions but their continuity from Coach, to GM to Owner is so great that I also believe Mavericks will be winners sooner than later.

Especially with Luka and KP already on this team, it is just a matter of time.

I know people want the 3rd star, but I wouldn't mind if the mavericks go 2011 and get this team some affordable veterans at great prices from 3-10 on the roster.

There was a time when Aaron Judge and Porzingis were hobby fun too.

Probably never at this point- he has withstood the Zion mania I guess.

If Luka has repeated injuries that don't allow him to play a majority of his team's games, he will surely suffer in the hobby.

If he stays healthy and continues what he's started, the sky is the limit. He is a hobby unicorn that only MJ will surpass if he achieves what many of us think he can.

Yeah for whatever reason top tier players have never gravitated towards the Mavs. They always get linked to top tier free agents, but at the end of the day never get them. Maybe Luka changes that perception

They don't need a top tier player imo they need someone who can facilitate the bench players and just a couple better options as far as role players would do. That is also assuming KP can stay rather healthy (which hopefully he can), if you look at last season whenever Luka came out of the game majority of the time they ended up losing the lead.

I hope/think Luka will win a championship, but why are ppl so high on the Mavs?

Cuban seems like a good/fun owner and he's been very successful in various endeavors. But in the NBA, he's got one championship in 20 seasons.

Mavs aren't head and shoulder above the league in terms of drafting.
They don't get prime FAs.
They were the #1 seed during Dirk's MVP season and lost in the 1st round.
They got Porzingis because the Knicks are the Knicks.
They play in an insanely loaded Western Conference.

Championships aren't a certainty at all. KD was arguably the best player in the world a few seasons ago and had to join a 73-win Warriors team to get his rings.

I'm rooting for Luka to win a few chips. His skills are amazing and he's super fun to watch.

But it's very difficult to win an NBA championship.

I have the Trae Pink Obsidian /75 and it looks really nice, I don't collect Trae but have kept it because of how good looking the card is.

I agree about the greens and also really like some of the reds. The Red Marquee rookie that matches his shoes, the red flux that matches the alternate uniforms, and the red studio is sweet too (almost like he is running out of fire).

For me its the combination of Luka and Cuban. Luka is a generational talent that makes his teammates better - Dirk is an all time great but he's not the same facilitator as Luka is.

When you have that kind of talent it takes a special kind of incompetence to not be competing for championships. Dolan may be the only one who could put a team around Luka that would end up with a top 5 pick.

So the fact that they have the hardest piece of a championship contending team to get already and they have Mark Cuban who has never been shy about spending money on his team leads me to believe that they will be contending for years to come during Luka's prime.

The other factor is the NBA has changed with social media - players don't need big cities to "build their brand" a superstar may choose Dallas now just because they get to play with Luka and all the hype and attention that brings which didn't exist 10-15 years ago.

I think Cuban is an owner will go over the tax to bring some more championships to Dallas. He won't be frugal when he sees a championship window unlike the Bucks currently.

As great as Dirk was for all those years, Luka is already better (or, has a skillset that's easier to pair for championships) than Dirk and I'm sure Cuban is just licking his chops to get the right talent around Luka over the next couple years to compete for the next decade.

A healthy KP and one veteran 3 & D player can make the Mavs contenders this year. Let's not forget the Mavs had the most efficient offense of all-time this past year despite Luka missing a number of games.
