I addressed your main point about Saladeen putting his name on the card in a way that put it above both player and team. It's simply not true because it's incorporated in such a way that is takes a back seat visually. I'm not saying it's not the biggest name on the card, I'm saying using that as proof of Saladeen putting himself above the player on the card is disingenuous. It's an irrelevant fact to your point of him putting himself above the rest of the card. The entire background could be his name, and as long as it wasn't the primary focal point of the card, he would not be putting himself before anything.

When people bring up that they hadn't noticed Saladeen's signature on the card before, I think that tells you all you need to know. But keep fighting the good fight against these scrub artists and their overinflated egos. I know Dali would be rolling over in his grave right now at such things.

That's mostly my point. I tried to be matter of fact, and spell things out as clearly as I could when I first joined to avoid coming across like a jerk. But I've realized that often had the inverse effect, so I've certainly leaned in to that a bit in the past month or so. If everyone thinks I'm a snob who thinks he should be celebrated for being gracious enough to discuss P2020 among the plebeians, I'm going to lean in to that a bit. It's too fun not to from time to time.

But for the most part, these are just my opinions about a genre that is opinion driven.

I have no issue with Don and he and I are not in agreement on a lot in this set. I view these as baseball cards and he views them more with the artist's eye. Sometimes it's nice to get the other perspective. That being said, I had no idea what the hell he was talking about in regards to Siffs Ripken sketching process, but it's all good.

That's just how you would do a type of spray paint art. Probably poorly explained on my end, but it's fairly simple. Often looks cool, as does the card. As I alluded to, that is just me being bitter about it winning the first 100 poll. There will be more complains about it too, so buckle up.
