Default (bf sales?)

anyones else think the BF sales are scams?every year i spend 3k-4k on wax.this year a big $450 is all.the big 3 seem to offer the same@#!$ every year.boxes from 7-10 years ago that wont sell at a lesser price.get jack up 10-20 times in price, then they a few bucks off and call it a deal.youd have to pull the super duper optic refractor 1 0f 1,just to break even.most of the older wax wont even have that.even the new stuff with the long odds .youll have to be very lucky.better try the powerball instead.in 46 years of buying and selling,2020 has been wild.suppply and demand i understand.but when there is a $100 card that you can find for $90,its raise to $400 but with 70% (sales off)how is that a sale?is it a jedi trick to fool your brain in to thinking it great?

Marketing 101. People will buy things on "sale" for more than it's regular price. It's also the same reason why things are priced for $19.98 or $99.95. It's proven to work.

In all fairness, where is the incentive for them to offer hot selling newer product at a bigger discount that a few bucks off right now? It's selling like hot cakes. Taking big discounts on products that are selling no matter what is not a good business decision.

And before you give me any yeah buts, the only other products available are the ones that you refer to in the first post as being from 7-10 years ago.

As far as the discounts not being as good as other times, some yes, and some no. I distinctly saw products at the best prices that I've ever seen today, and other products remained inflated or had artificial cuts.

never mention new or (hot)stuff. why buy the over hype?as 1 example look at chronicles basketball.how many drank the koolaid and bought those $100 jumbo packs?today they are around $3o.great deal if you trust they might go back up.have fun with your over hype new wax.the older wax most times is better.the rookies by now are proven to be 1 way or another.same as the stars.hey, buuy and collect what floats your boat.one great thing about our hobby.........no rules to say what right or not.

Pay attention to prices of things you want BEFORE black friday sales. Generally, for the black friday sales, products are marked up a good amount before the discount is applied to make it look like a bigger reduction than it actually is. So far today IVe bought a pair of Beats solo Pro wireless headphones and a Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet. Both at very nice discounts to the usual price which I have been watching for a few months.

Some black friday deals are legit. But there's a certain website that sell cards and has a forum that always puts inflated prices up next to their "sale" price to make it seem like you're getting a good deal

gotta laugh when the offer a product they have on sale for years.mark it up 25% ,then put it on (sale)at 10%off.but to be fair.over the years, ive seen this with other places.

Why did they even buy them to begin with? Or was it one of those, I will sell you this desirable product at a discount, but you have to buy the Yo Gabba Gabba along with it?

I had a friend back in high school who's dad was the manager of a kmart. He told me on certain items like tvs and computers the night before they would either do 2 things to them. Switch them out for a model with less features and sell at a blowout price thinking you are getting a great deal or raise the msrp up by $100 to make you think you are getting a steal.

Giving Tuesday is where it is at. Donate to local charities, especially ones that help people during these rough times, like food banks, childrens hospitals, etc.

That's definitely something to watch out for when big stores like Wal-Mart or Best Buy have electronics on sale; especially TVs. Even knowing this, I got duped into buying the 70" version of a TV at the same price as it's 65" counterpart because the sale price of the 70" was lower than the 65". It was the same model and came in the same box but when I got it home and looked at the specs and rechecked the model number they added an "M" to the end of it. I ended up taking it back and then buying a higher end 65" than what I originally went for.
