pointing out that being out of shape wouldn't be the reason to be this bad from 3. Harden has a few extra lbs and hits 3s with ease.

Agreed. Mavs were getting killed on the boards during a few stretches of this game and he could have come in then as he is a vacuum on the boards. He consistently gives them a boost when he is in. Big mistake in this game by Carlisle in my opinion.

Still 100 days off doesn't equal real game experience. There was basically no preseason. It will take a couple weeks for these guys to get into true game shape.

to make it easy.

Mavs last played August 30th. Next Mavs game was December 12th (preseason game #1). Luka had all of Sept, Oct and November to rest. Ankles don't take that long to heal.

The whole damn team is addicted to the three. And it’s so bad when they’re off because they’re so lazy getting back on defense.

Read my post above about real game performance. It's much different then practice and just shooting around.

It's weird to me that so many people are rooting for a 21 year old kid to fail. Like him or not, why is everyone so focused on wanting him to fail. Not just him but all young players, weird phenomena

Come back and post when Luka drops 35-10-12 and tell me how bad he was. I'll be waiting.

Okay, I’ll try make it easy too. I take Cuban’s words for it instead of your guessing.

I don’t think it’s about him. It’s more about the people who have money on him. Some People want to see others lose money?

Most people aren’t good people.

Your little emoticon guy at the end of your bad takes really highlight your personality.

You can think Luka has a bad work ethic or whatever, but we saw what he looked like going into the bubble with little access to the Mavs facilities (best shape of his career) and all we hear from the Dallas org is how he's a tough a dedicated worker.

so now 100 days off isn't enough to rest?

Celtics, Raptors, Clippers, Lakers, Nuggets, Heat, Bucks, Rockets, Thunder and Jazz all had less rest and seem to be doing ok. Thunder and Jazz had a Game 7 in early September.

100 days isn't enough tho.

Or....people DON'T have Luka and they are jealous of those that do, so they root for Luka to fail and hope he dips in value (which just isn't going to happen to a 21 year old MVP candidate) so that they can grab some.

The season is 4 games young. There are still 68 games to go. Luka is fine and will continue to be fine for the entirety of the season.

Cuban is just sticking up for his player.... covering up an injury most likely.

If an owner ever has to talk about the conditioning of a player... especially a 21 year old... they are doing it to cover up the real issue.

To me..they want people who buy his cards to fail so they look smart..they actively want people to take a big L financially so they can pat themselves on the back and assure themselves they made the right decision. Its unbelivable crappy..but thats what these people do. Luka personally failing is collateral damage to them. They dont give a damn about him either but its more of them getting at his collectors or "investors"

Not the point i was making. Game play and shooting around is completely different stress on the body. Practice is nothing playing 100% effort in live games takes a toll.

I'm not jealous... just pointing out that he is injured but everyone just wants to focus on him being out of shape. He's 21...getting paid $8M this year and came into the season WAY out of shape. That's not a good look.

No one seems to think he is injured. He is.

Harden was already fat lol now he’s fatter, plus he uses his girth to his advantage. He’s mastered using his wide body to get to the rim and make shots

Luka was a little chubby and looks a little fat. Yes right now he’s fat lol. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. He’ll play himself into shape in a month or so. Remember when Shaq use to show up every year out of shape haha?

Too many people (coaches, analysts and former players) that know much more about basketball than all of us believe Luka is already a top 5ish player and will probably be the face of the league by the time he’s 25. Again I’m sure he’ll be okay

I also love all the hot takes, good or bad, 4 games into the season lol. Tons of people acting like it’s mid season lol

Oh and for the record I don’t have a ton of Luka’s, just a silver rookie for my set. Actually was one of the people that sold too soon......boy I miss you blue prizm rookie :-(

People say Luka is lazy, yet he went straight back to the floor after the game to put more work in...

Not here.

I bought 2 Lukas during the offseason and wanted more. I sold one when I saw him in first preseason game. Didn't pass my eye test.
