I think it speaks more to my OCD germophobia versus really fearing the virus, I know many people who have had it, did know 1 who died but he was near 70 and lived a pretty unhealthy lifestyle, not saying 1 death isn't too many but when you weigh it out..well you know what I'm saying. My heart goes out to anyone that loses a loved one for any reason, but we look at the flu numbers every year and they're high and I've legit never heard anyone make a federal case out of it.

I'll tell you a funny story about the mask type thing and food chains.

This was before covid and i was at DD. You know how they make them wear those cheap disposable plastic gloves? Well this lady was coughing into her hands like a smokers cough. Then shed go grab people's donuts and run the register and take money all at the same time.

I said you know those gloves aren't meant to protect you right? They're meant for everyone else. So every time you rub your face or cough into them and run the cash register and touch peoples food you're accomplishing nothing.

That's kind of how i feel about people wearing covid masks fidgeting with all the time. I always think about that.

I personally had a great year in spite of it all, but really doubt the political/social environment improves in the next year. Go to any media source right now and division and negativity is all you will find. People on both sides too worried about what others do and say and not interested in making their own lives better. In 2021 I encourage everyone to look inward and work on themselves instead of worry about everyone else.

2020 was bitter sweet for me.....work changed a lot as I was traveling all over the country in the role I had and that came to an immediate stop. However, I was able to not only keep my job, but am able to spend 90% of my time working from home which will continue to happen and I received two promotions.....was able to really make some decent added cash with this hobby and sort of build a steady system of continued cash flow with focusing on singles and grading due to the wax prices skyrocketing.

I do miss going out for date nights with my wife or letting my kid go to the playground and play with his friends or just being around people in general as we really try to limit exposure living in LA. I think the hardest is for my 4 year old who is doing pre-school online and hurts his social skills development.

I also had to have heart surgery right in the middle of this whole pandemic which was challenging but at the same time it was something that was kind of a sudden catch and probably saved my life so I am certainly grateful that I was able to have the procedure done and continue to be with my family.

I’ve definitely learned to appreciate what we have though as so many people are struggling and I am so thankful for being able to keep my job through this whole thing.

I even won one of my fantasy football leagues which I love playing. So while 2020 definitely had its ups and downs for my family and I, I’m more looking forward to hopefully getting back to normalcy even a little bit in 2021.

yep its funny you mention DD, i was in the drive up a few weeks ago and was grabbing a drink to go home with, and i see the dude taking money/credit cards from the people ahead of me and myself, and then handing my drink to me from the white lid, also wearing the gloves, but its like if i were not taking this home, im supposed to drink out of the lid that he just touched all peoples money and stuff and maybe picking his butt idk, but at the same time what else is he really supposed to do? Its one of those damned if you do damned if you dont things in that regard, as soon as i went home i popped the lid off and drank just out of the cup itself.

Of course my OCD mind works different than alot of other people's, people wouldn't even think of this as an issue, but between that and the virus, i think about this kind of stuff all the time. This one is sort of unpreventable to an extent i think. Yours with the lady coughing is totally preventable and effin disgusting, and though im really not super confrontational, i'd probably have to say something.

That's a great attitude. Im trying to do that myself. I got too wrapped up in all the drama for several months and had to take a break. It was really getting to me. Still working on it. Sometimes its better to just tune everything out and just worry about yourself. Too many people out there that are wound tighter then a two dollar watch right now. The world needs to simmer down.

Everywhere I go, I see so many "mask-holes" it's not even funny. I wish something could be done about those who won't wear it......
