Does anyone done the calculations on 2012 Select silvers? I've seen a post on the 2012 Prizm silvers and was curious is 2012 select silvers were similar or not.

180.
Select was similar in that it had a smaller print run than today’s standards, but more than Prizm. |

As we all know, basketball has a global market and half a billion chinese crazy collectors will help sustain the market. Since things like crypto are going up, partially due to inflation, it gives me hope something tangible like cards will also go up... thoughts?

But yeah, pretty low print run on 2012 Silver Prizms thats why key players from this set are going for a pretty penny (Kobe, Lebron, Curry) and will only go up and be desirable being its the 1st issued Prizms. |

Select Silver print run is ~ 120. Each box had 4 autos, 4 base parallels and 6 inserts. All autos in set were serial numbered so you can estimate total number of boxes based on total print run of all autos.
Total Autos 87,149 21787.25 boxes 145.25 parallels of each base, gold and black replaced the silver in the pack ~119 of each

I appreciate the break down. PR is much lower than I had initially thought. Thanks |

21787.25 (boxes you configured) x 3 = 65,361.75 total silvers. The checklist is only 150 players. 65,361.75 total silvers / checklist of 150 = 435 total per player. If there was a print run of 120, you’d have boxes that didn’t have ANY silvers. 120 (estimated silvers) x 150 (the checklist) = 18,000 boxes. https://www.blowoutforums.com/showth...13+Select+Case |

12-13 Select singles seem to still lag in prices vs. it’s Prizm counterpart. Hope to see these increase overtime.

![]() ![]() but your info did make me curious, someone brought it to my attention via PM this morning. I think you may have been looking at the regular base version of this card, i see 15 silvers graded by BGS and 7 by PSA of the kobe MVP prizm silver. |

![]() ![]() The hot stars had a silver, gold and black for both rookies and veterans. The autos had all 3 (silver, gold and black). The rookie jersey autos had silver /99-199, gold /10 and black /1. Star jersey autos cards had a silver with a regular jersey /15-99, prime /5 and gold /10. I think the jersey cards autos could mess up the silver count in each box since they have a wide range of amounts (15-199 of each card) The silvers in this brand were not outstanding in 2012. They did not radiate color as well as more current releases. I remember a lot of threads asking "Is this a silver or a base card?" They were harder to tell.

I've noticed it's a wide gap between the two products.
For example, Anfernee Hardaway: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-13-Pan...sAAOSwpd9f8Mr2 Versus https://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-13-Pan...8AAOSwP5tf7lUA Considering print runs, it's crazy the gap in price. |
