Default Kobe Bryant Autographed card Need Help

I'm thinking about doing a trade here on the forums which would involve the Kobe autographed card. Would love some input from some more knowledgeable collector's than myself. As to the authenticity of the autograph, and what value this particular card may have. Not much in the way of sales to get a solid $ number. Thanks

Yup I'm aware of how the back reads. I'm pretty sure there have been other UD Kobe's such as ovation that have been counterfeit even with UD statement on the back.

doesn't mean it can't be faked but i don't think this is a card that there have been any provable fakes of.

Hologram on the back looks legit but I don’t see the weird x pattern that is used in them.

Kobe did connect the o for a brief stretch there. My guess if you eBay or search 04 kobe autos you’ll find similar style. it’s real but it’s streaky and runs off the card. This will knock down the value a bit but swatch/autos made by upper deck are a great get. 2500ish maybe a bit higher trade value.

I think the card is certainly real. I don't like that the K is a bit streaky, but solid auto overall. Good card.

The ink density is off and the signature is incomplete, trailing off the card, but it is an on-card (not sticker) autograph on a jersey card and an early licensed release, so it's a great card to have for a fan. As an autograph collector, it's not a prime specimen example of his autograph because of the flaws, so that's the only downside you'd face on valuation/appraisal.

Auto is real as far as value I would think the card would fetch anywhere from $1000-$1300. Nice piece to add to the collection

Thanks for the help guys. Yeah the connection where the pen was dragged does look different than other copies I've seen. But all signatures are not the same I guess.

lThe last one sold was back in November for $1k and did not have the greatest looking signature. I'd estimate that this one is worth between $3k-5k

The "weak points" of the auto actually help with authenticity. A faker would likely not have the streak on the vertical line of the "K" and would not let the auto go off the card edge.

Even without those, the auto looks real. I would be happy to add that card to my collection. Did you end up with the card?

Thanks Bob very helpful! Still waiting to see if the seller and I can come to an agreement. Will update when and if the trade goes through.

It's funny yours is black pen (like a couple others I've seen), and mine is blue sharpie. It's like he started running out of ink in the blue sharpie on mine above and switched to the black pen lol.

No it’s just faded. The blue pen fade goes bright blue/dark blue/black/gray and eventually gone. Once it gets to black it will inevitably fade to nothing regardless of storage techniques. Could be a while but there is a point of no return.

Really? What would expedite the process so much in one while the other looks brand new still?
