Default Kobe Bryant Topps Chrome rookie Refractor PSA 10 value

Guy wants to trade this to me. I don't do basketball. Looked in completed listings. One "sold" for $6,750 but it wasn't real...anyone know approximate auction value today?

Ungraded copies can go for over $2,000. A PSA 10 copy is worth at least $5,500. A BGS 8 went for over $2,000.

No problem man. A PSA 10 might sell for more, but $5,500 is the bare minimum. If I were trading mine I would want $6,000 - $6,500 for it. It's a tough card to get a PSA 10 on because of the surface and centering.

If what you're saying is even close to true, I'm getting a GREAT deal.

I sold a BGS 9 on eBay to a Kobe collector for $2300.

Recently? That seems low but what do I know.

Last year around this time. Pulled from Leaf Rookie Retro. The box break can be found on the forums. At the time, there were roughly 2-3 completed listings under $2k around $1800. I was ecstatic with the price I sold it for.

Recently, a BGS 8 sold for over $2100 and a BGS 9 for $2800 so in hindsight maybe my BGS 9 sale last year at $2300 was not as good as I had originally thought, ha.

Crazy swings in the value of this RC. Market is starting to turn!

^^ Original break last December with some listings quoted ^^

9 year bump. How come no one said $375,000? I did end up trading for it and sold it for $4,700.

Obviously we didn't account for inflation.

Not to make you feel bad, but with buyer's premium someone was actually willing to pay $460k for it.

Well they've been selling for about 5-6k on average so I'm assuming one listed for 3k sold in seconds lol

With your luck, if you sell your Mahomes Gold, it becomes a $10M card.

Someone just hit a BIN for 500k on a PWCC listing on Ebay, can't be real right?

It totally can be real. Only 63 PSA 10s in existence and one just went the other night for $460k on Goldin so why wouldn't it crack the $500k mark a few days later? It's his most coveted card.

Don't I know. I am NOT selling that thing

(goes to make sale regret thread for the future when I sell it and regret it)

I remember this trade vividly. I had an Andrew Luck Red Refractor auto /5 BGS 9.5 that I paid $3,250 for. I traded it to this guy and he gave me the Kobe Chrome PSA 10 AND a 1998 Manning SP Authentic Diecut PSA 10. I sold the Manning for $1400 and the Kobe for $4700 and basically made $2,600 in two weeks and thought I was the king of the world.

Found this in a really fun folder I call the "sold" folder. I only enter this folder on really dark days.

Whatever you do, don't look at that folder in two years.

It's not the Kobe that will give me an early death. This will when it sells for 10 million
