PSA 8.5's are steadily moving. Last sale at $7500 there. We should see a steady rise on both, but no doubt will slow down a bit. |

PSA 8.5 sold for $7095, looks like we are seeing movement on the half grades now.

Sorry to interrupt this thread, but this is a 90's Jeter question and I don't feel that it deserves its own thread.
I was at my local shop today and noticed he has a 1998 Platinum Medallian Jeter tucked away in one of the showcases. What would you all say is a good price for it? Also. I gave it a good inspection. If I had to guess I'd say it would grade a PSA 8. Some edge chipping. Otherwise it's very nice. Thanks.

93 UD SP boxes have doubled overnight, crazy! They have been 4-5K for a long time now at 11-12K plus.
Thought this was cool, one ebay seller posted this on there auction for a box. "As a buyer/collector of Jeter SPs over the last 5 years, sealed boxes were always half the value of what the PSA 9s were trending at. 5 years ago: PSA 9 $1250-$1500 Sealed Boxes: $600 - $800 3 years ago: PSA 9 $3000-$3500 Sealed Boxes: $1500-$1750 Last few months: PSA 9 $6000 - $8000 Sealed Boxes: $3500 - $4250 RECENT PSA 9 sales: $21,100 - $24,550 Sealed Boxes: $5500 - $6000 <---- GREAT PRICES!! Current Fair Market Value: $12,000 Presently, any sealed SP boxes sold under $11k remains a buyer's market! "

Here’s my view. Whenever the next PSA 10 is listed it will 100% surpass 500k and it will set off the market of all the other graded foils. I think once that happens PSA 9’s climb to 50k and watch out. Everything else will follow. Auctions of the magnitude typically bring a lot of attention across media, social media etc and only bring more awareness and buyers to the Foil. I would hold everything unless of course the money is needed. My buddy turned down 30k today on Ebay for his PSA 9 and he knows a lot more than I do and is typically nails with this stuff. I’m holding a few PSA 8.5 that I think will reach 12-15k as we approach his HOF ceremony. Bottom line: HOLD HOLD HOLD |

A raw one (with surface scratches and dinged corners) went for over $1000 today in auction.
Another raw one...that actually looks very nice went for $1100 BIN. |

I would not sell any Jeter right now. He is stupid cheap across the board. Baseball is stupid cheap across the board. The time is nearing for that to be corrected.

This right here, a definite hold! Only reason to sell would be for family reasons but for now just pretend you don’t have any. |

I’m thinking about selling my psa 7.5 for a psa 8. Am I right to assume that the 8’s are gonna start widening the gap between them and the 7.5’s soon, or should I not bother to swap?

Stupid Question coming...
I'm about to submit what looks to me like a borderline PSA 8/PSA 9 SP. Now, obviously I'm not going to pay $1000 for a quick run-through at PSA 9 prices ($23kish) but I feel like paying $75 for a current PSA 8 price ($2kish) probably locks me into a PSA 8. I know they can bump me up and charge the extra $925 if they grade it a 9 but what's my best approach here? Considering going with the $200/card 2-day option but if it spits out a PSA 8, I just pissed away $125 that I shouldn't have. Thoughts? Last edited by BabaORiley; 02-09-2021 at 02:00 AM. |
