Or spring training will kick up more dust, and prop these even higher. Every other year in the past has had the biggest gains be in March. Now granted, it's possible that people this year became more aware of that and invested earlier... but I think the hype of spring training will cause another bump for most baseball cards.... maybe not as big as the bump last year... but still something. Basketball's bump this offseason kept climbing through opening day. Fingers crossed.

There should be a decent ST bump, but maybe not as much is years past. I could see the US175 hitting $7K+ again, around the beginning of the season.

2009 BC Blue Ref PSA 9 just hit Ebay via Probstein...already bid up to 40k. Will be interesting to see how nuts the super high-end gets.

Sold one (bgs 9) last fall for $40k, when us175 was $3000... So if it follows us175... Then it should easily top $80k.

Update Target red 9.5 accepted a best offer of 42.5k last night. I’d say that’s a pretty nice sale.

Has anyone ever sold a card that big on eBay? In the ebay fee breakdown they say a sale has a 10% final selling with with a max fee of $750. Can anyone confirm that on a sale over 7500 you only pay $750 to eBay?

It's actually only $250 if you have a store, can confirm sold multiple items over $5k.

I'm seeing these update prices as I do my daily search routine and just thinking that they can't keep it up at these prices. I seen a PSA 8 at over $1k. I read people saying there are more people in the hobby now and that's driving the prices up. I can see that and understand that. Makes sense because the iconic type of cards are jumping big. They have to be near the peaks though. Even with the the increase in buyers there is a small portion of those that can afford 5k+ cards and even smaller who will buy it. I certainly could be wrong because I've been thinking it for awhile on some cards that already spiked once, but they've spiked once or twice more since then.

The number of US175 cards on myslabs has exploded with the run up. Not surprised, but I am thrilled to see more people posting stuff for sale there. I have no affiliation with the site. I will leave mine at $9500 to make the rest of them look like a bargain. One day, I hope to wake up to a sold notification. If prices don't get there, I will hang on.

What’s your opinion on this, if trout plays for another 10-15 years and he goes down as a top player of all time or the GOAT. What do you think his US175 PSA 10 could ever get to? (the only thing holding it back is the population of 5k+.)

I bought a US175 when it was $450. When prices went up I told myself I would never sell unless it got to something ridiculous like $5,000. Now I don’t even know. He still has plenty of career left. If the Angels ever made a serious playoff run or even won it all I think it could make it to $15,000 easy.
