Yea, that Trout is a super overrated card. While Trout is the best player in baseball right now, no championships, and baseball is just nowhere the popularity it once was. Comparing Topps to Topps, Kobes should be twice the value.

Curious to see how high Kobe cards climb. Planned to hold my rookies and refractors for awhile but it’s getting to the point where I’m tempted to sell. Can they continue to climb over the next few months?

HoF induction happening in the spring will only help to drive prices higher IMO.

Kobe is on absolute fire right now. I love playing in low-end 90s parallels with great eye appeal. Seeing stuff up anywhere from 5-10x from last summer when I started buying. I think the market is getting wiser. No reason his post-playing days stuff should be selling for more than his Topps/UD era stuff.

2000-2007 Topps Chrome refractors still has plenty of gems and are undervalued, especially PSA 10 copies-if you have one, hold- Some are really low pop too.

This is so accurate. On that note, I still remember when UD use to sell for a higher premium than Topps across the board.

Kobe is absolutely on fire no doubt! I personally feel that its important to capitalize on such a crazy market so I have traded/sold some of my Kobe cards while simultaneously buying into the current market when it feels like a fair deal or a tough find. Enjoy the ride is really all one can say right now!

managed to pick this one up on the boards recently. not a card you see every day!

I just put up a handful of refractors most raw, the ones sold so far went in virtual minutes after listing for basically double the recent sales from the past few days. I wouldn’t have accepted less but aggressive offers came in almost immediately. Scorching hot market.

There are still cheap early 2000s stuff to be had for low prices. I bought a /150 parallel for under $40 and it is a majestic card. I am not saying at all that these will appreciate in the near future. I am just saying that if you collect on a budget, like I do, there is still some stuff out there from the threepeat era at an affordable price.

Also, something that I don't see being discussed... I have seen many Kobe pumps of the big time cards trough out the years, but what about his dollar bin cards? I used to scoop up every base card I did not have, and could find under one dollar. I completed 92% of my checklist of base cards that way. The big time base cards like Exquisite are obviously missing. What I mean to say is that even his low end base cards doubled or tripled in prices, or just COMC not a thing anymore?

These are getting harder to come by so couldn't pass on it even with the greening. Everything else is flawless on the card. Lets see how it grades out

I have a 2007 on the way to PSA, but sadly, with prices as such I will probably never complete the run.

99 is just so gorgeous. Missed the boat on that one, my second favorite after his RC TC refractor followed by his 2007-08 (horizontal)

Come to think of it, I’ve seen people with multiple PSA 10 copies on IG last year, if those same guys held, they could easily sell 5-6 and get a nice exquisite patch auto in return.

They did drop off. No one said sub 100.

10s got up to over 6k and dropped to sub $2500.

9s got to below $500.

This is just another pump.
