Default All Star Draft tonight 5PM Pacific, 8PM Eastern

This is a bit silly, but I always think it can be pretty fun.

LeBron, then Durant, pick their teams tonight.

Since LeBron Can't pick himself and Durant isn't playing, I believe the draft order will go

-LeBron
-Durant
-LeBron
-Durant
-LeBron
-Durant
-Lebron
-Durant
-Durant

For starters, then

-Durant
-LeBron

alternating reserves.

Starter pool:

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks)
Bradley Beal (Wizards)
Stephen Curry (Warriors)
Luka Doncic (Mavericks)
Joel Embiid (76ers)
Kyrie Irving (Nets)
Nikola Jokic (Nuggets)
Kawhi Leonard (Clippers)
Jayston Tatum (Celtics)

Reserves Pool:

Devin Booker (Suns)
Jaylen Brown (Celtics)
Paul George (Clippers)
Rudy Gobert (Jazz)
James Harden (Nets)
Zach LaVine (Bulls)
Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers)
Donovan Mitchell (Jazz)
Chris Paul (Suns)
Julius Randle (Knicks)
Domantas Sabonis (Pacers)
Ben Simmons (76ers)
Nikola Vucevic (Magic)
Zion Williamson (Pelicans)

My Guess for picks:

Giannis -L
Kyrie -D
Kawhi -L
Curry -D
Embiid -L
Jokic -D
Luka -L
Beal -D
Tatum -D

Harden -D
Lillard -L
PG13- D
CP3 -L
Zion -D
Simmons -L
Mitchell -D
Booker -L
Brown -D
Vucivic -L
Gobert -D
Booker -L
Lavine -D
Randle -L
Sabonis -D

Totally non scientific guesses there.

Bron crushed it honestly.
Bron, Giannis, Luka, Curry, Jokic
Reserves:
Lillard, Simmons, Paul, Brown, George, Sabonis, Gobert

He's got a winning team. I know no-one plays defense in the AS Game but damn Bron has got stoppers all over. I mean Simmons, Brown, George and Gobert off the bench? Who's scoring on them?

Toughest thing they'll have to contend with is anybody to stop Embiid... but I'm not sure it'll matter.

In a paradoxical way, I love this. It really gives the Jazz more motivation to win this postseason with the lack of respect they have been given.

Fuel that fire and give them more incentive to prove the doubters wrong.

Embiid exposed Donovan Mitchoke and no one wants the leftovers.

Jazz need motivation to go out and get a tough wing defender.

It's really their biggest missing piece, IMO.

...are they open..?

LeBron starters look great apart from a possible difficulty being able to stop Embiid.
Their bench looks good all-round.

KD has... scorers.

It's the ASG so the team rosters matter little.

It's an unspoken understanding to not play a lick of serious ball til late in the 4th quarter when the score will be inevitably tied until a last second possession or fts.

You’re not wrong.

I still think with their current configuration they have a legitimate shot though. They are one of the most complete teams in basketball. Last night’s loss was one of the rare times they got beat when they shot well from three (which is about 80-85 percent of the time. Mitchell had an inefficient night despite putting up 33, Embiid went beast mode, and Simmons was Simmons.

I think it’s Lakers coming out of the West, but this is assuming AD is back healthy. If not, I think it’s the Jazz. Western playoffs will be a bloodbath though, no getting around that.

In the East it’s Brooklyn or Philly. I don’t want to say Brooklyn, but I just feel like it will be. I really hope I’m wrong. I’d much rather see Philly in the finals.

Philly vs Utah would be great... but they are both 1 piece away.

For Philly, they need to add a dead eye sharp shooter off the bench. Korkmaz is too streaky, Milton and Tybulle have been shooting terribly from 3 this year. Their 1st unit is as good as anyone in the NBA, but with Simmons + Embiid playing most of their minutes on the court at the same time, they need to find more bench scoring to keep things even when they are off, because Brooklyn is always going to have either KD, Kyrie, or Harden on the floor to score.

For Utah, I think the chances of them winning the finals are slim with this team as is. The reason? They don't have solid wing defender to match up to the likes of:
-LeBron
-Kawhi/PG13
-Booker

and in the East:
-Simmons/Harris
-KD/Harden
-Giannis

IMO they need someone to at least slow those guys down to win 2-3 7 games series' and win a title.

You figured LeBron's "educated mind" would see that.
