Default Justin Herbert Rookie Price Tracker

I have a feeling we will be talking about this guy for many years to come...

His Contenders Super Bowl Ticket 1 of 1 is currently at 81K with about a day to go (Goldin Auction).

How much do you guys think this card sells for?

IDK, but man, talk about a high risk/high reward card.

That guy become the next Rodgers or Bress and it's worth a fortune.

If he becomes the next Stafford, Matt Ryan, or Rivers it'll tank.

Wow. Had no idea this was even hit. Crazy world we live in. Wish the seller and future buyer the best.

If he becomes the next Stafford putting up great stats he'll get a pass for three years while it booms lol

I think he has some really nice upside from a talent perspective, though his pricing has gone through the roof. Lots of success already built into his pricing. I built a decent stash of his cards, though I’m having heartburn with the fact he already trades at such a premium to almost all starting quarterbacks, outside of Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, and Wilson. For instance, I just don’t see why he trades at such a premium to Josh Allen. Herbert will be fighting for a wild card birth most years with Mahomes in the same division (and we all know that wins and playoff success translate to Hobby value, despite stats...)

The cost of “prospecting” in the NFL has certainly gone up. Outside of selective opportunities, I will probably hold off on aggressively picking up more Herberts.

His Contenders Super Bowl Ticket 1 of 1 just sold for a shade over $161K (includes Buyer's Premium).

Thoughts???

If he wasn't with the Chargers I'd be more comfortable same with Burrow with Cincy.

Burrow is better in my assessment so far but he's on the worst possible team

Any i realize Burrow gas a very small sample size

I am curious who is buying these at these prices. I can’t figure it.

Just trying to fathom someone dropping the amount of a house cost in some places for a herbert card... Big time investment

I have picked up a few also. Felt kinda dirty doing this with a QB in our division, but I like his style.

Here is my Fav:

It seems like you're buying at his peak if you're buying at 161K. If this auction had been in a year with RCs of Lawrence on the market and people hunting for his stuff, it might have done half of that.

Honestly, it is tough to know if it his peak or not.

Yeah, if this is the best he can do which is just to lead a average team to 8 wins and get big numbers for 10 years.. then this is his peak.. he give you one super bowl next 2-3 years.. that could be his peak.. he is still only 22 so there is plenty of "hype" years left if he can perform.

But it is speculation after all - we will all know.. when we know.

I didn't mean to suggest that we have seen Herbert's peak, more so a market peak. He could go on to win a Super Bowl or MVP in the next 5 years. But it's conceivable that Herbert's play could go up while market values of cards decrease.

yeah, its possible - still speculation as the market could easily keep rising or just stay where it is at.

It really is tough to know.. that is why like in all investing.. buy/inveset what you believe in and be willing to live with the results.

Personally, if I had millions and Herbert was my guy.. i wouldn't mind dropping 160k on it.. but again that is my fantasy land haha.

Is it just me or have his cards gone up in price in the offseason?

From my perspective, they have certainly seen a steady increase

Just picked up this red wave /149. Always been a big fan of these. Like someone else said above, feels a little bit dirty to pick up a QB in the same division as the Chiefs, but I like his upside

I’ve been thinking about it. Probably should. I have a huge backlog of things to submit, but have been dragging my feet

I do as well now. Like we spoke about earlier I stopped because of wait times. Now if I sent everything in at once the price would be crazy... I am going to put together a few that I know needs grading and and slowly work my way through the stack lol

Nice card for sure. I have been looking at the red waves, but still yet to pull the trigger. Quick question what do you value it at? Do you know what the grading prices look like?

Edit: imagine to chiefs fans talking about collecting The chargers QB.... what is this world coming too?

send it, but do it express (or whatever they call it) and pay the extra cash.
