I emailed bgs and have not gotten an answer yet. Does anyone here know if they still grade booklet cards and if so does it cost extra? Thanks

I believe the answer is yes and yes. I believe their grading form references "over sized" cards... not sure on the cost.

My 10 day order that arrived in Dallas October 12 just came back to me. Bad news is they forgot the sub grades. Nothing like waiting 5 months and then not even getting what you paid for. This is the never ending submission. The grades were bad too. Had a Luis Robert retail set foilboard get an 8.5. Pretty sure it’s the centering that took it down. It looks topheavy.

Thanks. It’s better than them ruining the cards. I’m hopeful that they will reslab these quickly considering it’s their mistake.

Grades popped today for a 5 card express (5 day) order I submitted and received on 2/26. Beckett Entered on 3/1. The 5 cards are 4 Kobe Autos and 1 Lebron Auto. Three 9s, one 8.5, and one 7 (ouch, got 6.5 on surface I didn't catch). One of the cards Kobe Opulence Auto with a piece 24k Gold is a Pop 1 with non graded higher despite graded a 9. So pretty happy about that. Overall not bad since two of the Kobe Autos were from 1999 and the Lebron is from 2004 and thrown in a lot that seller was trying to get rid of for $1500.

Oh man that is extremely annoying. Hopefully they fix it for you quickly. I had the opposite experience. TWO no sub orders I sent to them came back with sub grades. I really like BGS but that place is an absolute sh!t show and it doesn't even seem like they are trying.

Anyone have data on turn around times for a Standard 20-day, gaming card submission? My shipment was delivered on 10/28/20, and received email from BGS on 1/21/21. Nothing shows on the 'My Orders' on the BGS site.

I was told on December 4th that they were shipping out orders from late May and 1st week of June. Literally no progress in 3.5 months.

I'm early June and just got the cards listed in the My Orders tab loaded in there for the first time, along with "Moved to Repository" today. Let the real waiting begin...

It says 15+ business days for express on their website, but it sounds like it is actually taking 5+ months? Is that correct?

Stupid question probably, but I’ll ask anyway. Sent cards in penny sleeves and card savers- since the cards have been sitting in the “vault” for 9+ months now, will anything happen to their condition? Corners, edges, surface. I guess I’m just overthinking about moisture and room conditions. Again, just curious on your input. Thanks

Progress!!!! Congrats.

It seems as if every third person in the United States decided to send a bulk 100+ order to BGS in June.

There are many things in this hobby (and life in general) to worry about. This would not be near the top of my list.

I got in touch with my BGS rep and he asked me to send my cards in with my next submission. When I told him I do not plan for any more submissions to BGS he offered to email me a return shipping label and they would correct their mistake. He said it would take about 2-3 weeks.
The balls that BGS has to screw up my order and then tell me to send the error order in with my next submission is almost unfathomable. I absolutely love BGS’ slabs and subgrades but I am going to take a break from sending any orders in until they get their stuff together.
It’s too bad it’s come to this because every single one of my slabs is BGS and now I just feel like grading is too inconvenient and inconsistent. I’ll enjoy my raw cards from here on out.
I can’t imagine their business is sustainable when you have people like me, who ONLY use Beckett, losing faith. Too bad.

I was worried about the same thing. I assume it’s stored in a temperature regulated room, and the cards should be fine....but can you imagine thousands of cards getting damaged while they sit at BGS. Yikes.

The good news, I haven’t heard any stories like this yet. So should be ok.

Did you try insisting on a partial refund of the difference between sub and no sub grade? Or did you just want the sub grade fixed?

Sent out 1 card yesterday for express service. 1st time using bgs in about 5 years. Pretty expensive card but they are the only ones that grade booklet cards so hopefully it is $200 well spent, and hopefully it doesn't take months
