One of the biggest chokes I've ever seen. Up 17 points with under 6 minutes to go and you lose. Up 3 shooting 2 free throws with a lights out free throw shooter with 7 seconds left and you lose. As bad as the collapse was if you don't have a 88% free throw shooter miss both or don't commit a God awful foul on a last second contested shot 1 foot inside the 3 point line Pelicans win. What a bunch of f'n chokers.

Yeah I guess that too. But even then if they get fouled Portland still had a chance. If Ingram makes 1 of 2 free throws 99.5% chance the Pelicans win. I know Dame is great but that shot at the end was as contested as it gets 1 foot inside the 3 point line. I don't think that is going in if he doesn't get fouled but again Ingram was the beginning of the end. That said a team up 15 or more with under 6 minutes to go in the NBA should never lose.

I think it’s time to move Ingram. Seems like there’s a struggle between Zion and BI on who the first option should be when it’s crystal clear.

Zion gets frozen out shooting like 80+% all the time.

Either move Ingram or let Zion go to greener pastures. I’ve seen enough. It’s not a symbiotic relationship.

BI holds Zion back far more than he helps him whereas Zion helps create opportunities for BI with all of the defensive attention he commands.

This team reminds me a lot of when Curry was a rookie. Being a dubs fan it was hard to move Monte, but they had to.

It was a decent look (by his standards, since he's an auto-bucket anywhere in that area), but it was a floater about 5 feet away with momentum carrying him...so difficult would be more applicable.

Wish he hit it though, but nothing can negate the glaring issues that still face this squad that continue to be seen in 80% of their closeouts.

Tell me again how Pelicans double POR in paint points and shoot half the free throws. While Lillard shoots constant FTs on ghost fouls. He's supposed to be clutch? The uncalled tech was unbelievable and allowed POR to build momentum. Awful showing from the league. That's my post for this thread till Thursday, nothing more to say.

I remember it like it was yesterday. Some dudes compliment one another and others get in the way. It’s clear Ingram and Z have zero chemistry. Bledsoe just looks like he trying to sabotage the team. Zo I can stomach his inconsistencies... he at least seems to mesh well when they’re all clicking.

All the young dudes can work as pieces with time. This team has a couple years to build in my opinion, but they gotta blow it up soon and grow it from there.

I wanted a Gem Mint but was offered a PSA 9 at a good deal, so I took it

Ending tonight was brutal. Look forward to hopefully a bounce back game on the next one.

Seems like the Pels and Grizz are the biggest 4th quarter chokers this season.
Both Zion and Ja are in environments with a need to change.
Both teams likely won’t make the playoffs.
Something needs to be done in the offseason,
I agree, Z and BI are not a good fit together.

How much of this should fall on SVG? 40 games in and a quarter of your losses are after leading by double digits. I get that the players have to make the plays and put the ball in the hole but there had to be little or no direction by Stan in that last five minutes or they just didn't listen to him. Either way, he is not effective.

Blowing a 17 point lead with just over 5 minutes to go is a complete embarrassment

There's no other explanation for such continued late game negligence and complete lack of understanding how essential Zion's efficiency is down the stretch. (when they go away from him the most)

This is like RJ and Zion part deux at the pro level.

Can someone explain why the offense plays so rushed when up by double digits in the 4th? Why why why are we taking low % shots immediately after getting the ball rather than slowing the pace down to eat some time and create some better shooting opportunities...

BLEDSOE is the worst when it comes to this.
