Also, along the rookie pickup line... I like the Cole Anthony /35000.... it's $20-$25 cheaper than a Wiseman or Haliburton... will get a rookie badge... and it's a dope moment as well...

That would be a really bad sign for the longevity of the service. doing something like that would mean that they're desperately trying to keep the resale market active. Which basically means that they're desperately trying to keep people in the game by making money selling their moments that nobody wants simply because of challenges.

I don't think it's that way at all, and likely not a big deal in the long run. Chances are they would do this as a one time thing to test the response, not a permanent change. It's not about forcing people to complete a challenge, it's throwing a bone to the heavily invested that have been complaining about the pack flippers that have no interest in participating in the market.

If this was about increasing market activity as you suggest then they would want the new pack flippers to get the packs because they are guaranteed to hit the market whereas the people completing challenges are more likely to hold some of the moments they get in a rare or legendary pack.

These are tacit admissions that the market can't sustain itself without them constantly inserting their presence.

These relentless challenges are doing nothing but manufacturing demand for stuff that by and large isn't wanted.

Making it mandatory to buy after market singles that aren't part of your collection, to complete a challenge for a player you might not even care to collect, JUST for the right to be entered into a lottery for the right to pay them for another pack?


Who does that benefit?


People who own cards needed for challenges that people otherwise wouldn't want to buy.

Let's see if a big game from him or Edwards gets things moving.

That's just so cheap for a guy that could be the ROY by end of season.

You can get RPAs of some of these guys for $50 and their moments are going for more just because of challenge manipulation. It can't last.

I think the challenges are good, just too expensive for anything decent. Even at these prices you need to spend $6k + to get the Giannis All Star.

Would be good if the challenge netted you something a little rarer.

It's really early days and the sky is the limit for ideas for this.

It's hard to hold onto moments you're collecting when it's so easy to just place them on the market for a solid profit. Ex. Cole Anthony /35k but I want to have at least one rook with badges in my collection
