I’ve held back watching it because I feel like the actual film can’t live up to the trailer. Am I wrong?

I think I've posted it before, but I watched "Blood Vessel" last night. Not the greatest of movies but it's got a creepy atmosphere going for it. Plus I like horror that takes place on the ocean like Ghost Ship, Leviathan, Deep Rising, or Deep Star 6 to name a couple.

It captured that 1980s horror vibe without being simply derivative. It captured that Saturday morning "Power Rangers" vibe without being childish. The practical effects blending with CGI and even stop motion was somehow brilliant. The movie never asks you to accept more than it can deliver. The line by the father ("Humans are the real monsters") basically sums up everything, but not in the way you might be thinking. In actuality, the closest thing I can compare Psycho Goreman to is that Twilight Zone episode "It's A Good Life." There are no healthy relationships in Psycho Goreman and there are no heroes (though the kid friend Alistair is definitely a victim) and the film 100% commits to its black comedy premise. Even the climactic "apology" is spelled out in Morse Code rather than said out loud. |

It really does have that 80's movie vibe. The movie grew on me as I watched it. I love how PG constantly threatens the kids and they just blow it off like its nothing.

I’ve been hearing about this one for over a year since it premiered at Sundance 2020 and was scooped up for a pretty high price for a horror movie. Glad to see a trailer finally and see it’s hitting theaters this summer

Finally watched “Psycho Goreman”. I had an absolute blast with it minus the last 5 minutes or so. Although I wish it ended differently, I still can see showing this to my friends next time they’re over.

The Night Eats the World (2018) on Amazon prime
Guy wakes up a see Paris is overrun with zombie. Imagine 28 Days Later without the action, is how I describe it. Just a guy living inside an apartment, nothing happen. Last edited by NeilKirklander; 04-01-2021 at 12:49 AM. |

Trust, it can't be as bad as Quija Shark on Amazon. Try watching the whole movie. Hahaha!

I don't know if it counts as horror, but Willy's Wonderland was a hoot. Nicholas Cage being his best Nicholas Cageness.

Super excited to have just signed up for Shudder, with the first month free.
"Creepshow" is airing all-new Season 2, there's a new episode with two stories each Thursday, plus a live-action holiday special & an animated special that were made while my last subscription was expired. The magnificent 4 hour plus documentary on 1980's horror movies "In Search of Darkness" is there exclusively now, and soon the 4+ hour sequel (on other 80's horror not covered in the first one) is premiering later this month. Within that, is a mini documentary on Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. I'm going to watch the first one again as soon as I have 4 hours! It's like a classic Fangoria magazine, come to life.
