You don't think the OP could have wrangled up ONE toploader or CS1?

Point being it's easy to get on here and blast a company with one-sided version of events but clearly the OP could very well be the one responsible for the damage to the card. In fact, if I had to guess, based on his lack of experience, he probably is.
Companies don’t offer $800 to customers who damaged their own cards.

So you are sponsored by PSA? So does that mean you will not be accepting any mail until July 1 also?

Thanks to mintacular for seeing through this feeble attempt at sabotage and to see the "sheep" that jumped on his bandwagon was amusing.

Once again, thanks for the amusement! lol

Cards can easily fall out and slide around in a one touch and so you want SGC to take the bullet for this one?

Also, all your whining in paragraph one about the meter not being updated, etc. your emails to them, sounds like they were VERY responsive. Do you think PSA would have even responded once? You also realize the desk person and the UPS folks who drop/receive hundreds of packages a day aren't going to mark anything damaged unless it is VERY obvious. Clearly, the damage wasn't noticed until they later upon the packaged and the card at that point must have shifted around in transit.
hey thanks for your comment - believe, dont believe, doesnt affect me one way or the other. The post is merely a an example of an issue. As I stated before people for sure have had great experiences, but I also as a consumer like to hear the bad things too, so I can make an informed choice.

The guy on the phone recently told me that the whole package was damaged from the outside and that the whole card and everything was bent. But, I have no idea what the card or packaging looks like damage wise, they've not sent a picture. They just told me it was damaged and offered me a credit - I asked for pictures, because well, if UPS did deliver it damaged, then i would need those. They then said sign an NDA for the pics, i said ok, then they said nevermind that's too much work.....Soooo here's the thing - I never once blamed them, I have asked for evidence for an insurance claim. I also dont want to commit insurance fraud, that's no bueno.

Are we to believe your reading comprehension issues are only on message boards or do you have them in your daily life too.

Imagine a grading company trying to get you to sign a NDA.

PSA does it regularly. So you must be full if it when you say they sponsor you.

actually - the company person who talked to me said the whole package was damaged from the outside - so If the card was damaged by my packing, i'd accept that, but they never once said that - they blamed it on UPS.

For a lawyer, you sure do have a lot of typos. I'm assuming if you are a lawyer, you're certainly not their lawyer , because they also mentioned they didnt want to have to hire a lawyer. Also, on their website - it only says this for submission.

Turnaround times vary with demand. Any of the following will result in longer lead times:

* Non-use of online invoice

* Cards not sent in Card Saver I or Ultra Pro semi-rigid holders

* Oversized items, Non-sports cards, or Items requiring custom research

Have a nice night!

Nope, i asked for a picture and/or video because the person who called me back, said "it's like vegas around here, there are cameras everywhere". Just want UPS to pay for damage if it was there fault. Just show me a picture, so I can point a finger, even if it's at myself.

It was only $100 when I submitted - so $115 was the total. A $900 profit at auction is pretty ok - I don't grade or sell usually. I mostly trade because I collect sets, but sometimes you have to sell so you can put some money into your sets. This particular card was not something I PC and it wasn't part of a set, I would be collecting, easy choice....Even a $200 profit can net a good amount of cards to finish a set. You do you, and I'll do me, K boo?

I would take their offer if reasonable and be happy.
I personally like SGC but he certainly does not have to take there offer. Who gives a crap if there lawyer is on here he should speak up. Doesn't sound like the OP is being unreasonable not the way I would be.

To be clear, I’m obviously not sponsored by PSA. But someone accused me of it the other day. As if they would be bad.

I see SGC raised their lowest grading fee to $75 a card. Have to find a way to pay off OP somehow.

Sorry for your loss OP.

These grading threads crack me up though. You can always count on the same three BO members to quickly attack any mistake made by any grading company other than PSA. Meanwhile PSA continues to make egregious error after egregious error, and these same members have nothing but praise

Protect those investments boys!

Yep - I’ve had this happen on a delivery (see below). If you do ship in one touch, be sure to tape it down. Otherwise this can happen

Yes, I do trade error cards and I am not a lawyer. I do find threads like this hilarious, especially the "great" advise he has received.

Sucks that happened man! I've had bgs and psa damaged some higher dollar cards in the past and it is beyond frustrating.
