I was wrong on the sale. It sold for $450, not $1,000. For some reason the sales price was not crossed through like normal "Best Offers" that get accepted.

But I'd say $450 makes it special enough. Especially since it's raw and a real sale.

One of these days the NOW brand will be understood a little better. For some...maybe not.

Topps Now is indeed special if its the first card like Haaland which is limited to 178. People like them and thats the reason the print run is now
higher for players like jude belligham, cherki etc

His only base from that set was for PSG, so the Unlimited Potential is his only France card in the set. For whatever that's worth.

Mbappe 2017 Topps Chrome Purple PSA 10 sold for $8650 last night. I believe that's the highest we've ever seen a purple sell for!

Whoa! Another 2 Goal game from him yesterday probably helped that one. 9 goals in his last 6 matches.

I've enjoyed this thread for a while now. Lots of great contributions and tracking his sales over the past year. Seen some amazing cards and autographed items in this thread too.

I haven’t seen any recent comps... what would a 2017 Topps Chrome UEFA refractor set go for these days? The Mbappe may be between an 8-9 grade. Any ballpark ideas? Thanks in advance.

A raw Mbappe sold the other day for $1600. With Bruno, TAA, Messi, Ronaldo and all the other stars....I would have to think in the $2500 range?

A Chrome Refractor PSA 9 sold last night on bid for $3,233 through PWCC. Interested to know if that was real or shilled at all.

Sheesh! Topps Chrome is definitely the main "card" for him going forward. Raw base Topps Chrome are now getting $380-$450 per. Especially his color refractors....I'm actually surprised that Purple PSA 10 is still up and nobody has hit the BIN yet.

Not showing up as paid yet but it's only been about 24 hours on it so too early to tell. Though there was another PSA 9 Ref that is showing up as paid for at 3000 yesterday though along with a run of 2017 Chrome PSA 10 BINS being paid for on 3 Refractors (8400-8900) and 5 Base (1600-1800) all yesterday.

He didn't play today and didn't play great against Ukraine, so must just be the market catching up to how great he has been playing this year.

PSA 9s now getting over $4.4K

With all the Topps Chrome love that Haaland has been getting, you would expect that to carry over to the Topps Chrome Mbappe stuff. I'll be curious to see where the Purple PSA 10s end at this week. Almost makes that Blue Topps Chrome PSA 10 at $22K seem like a steal.....

We are even seeing crazy sales for the Topps Kick digital cards. Looks like one sold overnight for $400

Will be fun watching him versus Bayern over the next 2 weeks!

My first thought was definitely along the line of "if you believe the chrome Haaland prices, then Mbappe is relatively cheap" because Haaland really has quite a bit of options all doing fairly well. Bunde, UCL, Sapphire... just from pure chrome we are at over 17,000 "base" cards for him from this "season". Plus another 3000+ parallels. Plus inserts. Plus Finest. Mbappe from chrome is less than half of that.

BUT, Mbappe also has Prizm... which sucks away some of the demand/dollars as a look-a-like from a collector popularity perspective. So that would certainly make up for the difference and I would guess that total dollars for "rookie" releases of shiny things, they get closer to even.

I'm impressed by Mbappe. Actually, I'm impressed with any professional athlete that can keep their body in shape and perform at a high level in any sport. Even if they are bench warmers....they were obviously talented enough to make it to a professional level.

I'm curious bud....do you collect cards? I don't think I've ever seen you share your collection or even trade on here. Is your objective to just be a downer every single day? You need some church in your life. Maybe a life coach so that you can be more cheerful and support other humans.

As I've stated to you before....it stinks that you didn't buy into all the soccer hype 2-3 years ago when everything was dirt cheap like a few of us did.
