I’m considering buying a Bat Down for about 2K. Although It’s a BGS 9.5. Thoughts? Does that card still have room? Could it be a 5k card if he wins a world championship?

I would try to get the best raw I could and get it graded. Would stay with me for a really long time after that.

Who gives a sh*t? One wants the Bat Down price to increase as an already ridiculously high cost card. The other wants a lower cost card to increase tenfold.

Good luck to us all

Normally when it comes to preference, this is EXACTLY correct!!!

But actually, even though we all have our own definitions, there is a correct answer based on precedent. The problem is...all elements of the flagship rookie card precedent do not all come together for Acuna in the typical way—as Bat Down and Bat Up Factory Set combine to give us the Ronald Acuna Jr. “Flagship rookie card.” Bat Down—first pack pulled, bat up fs-first base flagship card on the complete set checklist—also first with parallels (foilboard & All-Star stamp)—and technically an SSP variation (Bat Down).

What we do know is that Update US250, by the hobby’s definition—set by precedent, is NOT “the” Flagship Acuna Rookie Card. It’s not the first pack-pulled, it’s not the first set checklist card, it’s not the first with parallels, so it can’t be “THE Flagship Rookie Card” when it’s neither of the 3 required elements! What it DOES have going for it is it’s the first card that checks all 3 boxes at once—pack pulled, base set AND parallels—just not the first. The first “flagship rookie card” for Acuna was already released before US250 was printed.

So your saying it’s about as hot as it’s gonna be? Let’s be honest regression has to set in no?
What would a Trout or Soto of a similar rarity go for?

Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets pulled early.

Why on earth did he slide into home when he hurt himself sliding a few minutes before that?

Because he’s the hardest player in baseball.
