So instead of messaging me in the first place he opens an issue which I close with tracking. Then sends the above message then resorts to neutral feedback saying the same thing over. Seems to have an issue with accepting a resolution and moving on...this is the main reason for posting his ID.

I currently have 4 pending orders from him, and have had zero issues on other prior orders.

I really wish Max would just eliminate the 'pending payment' part of Sportlots. Either the buyer pays for the order, or they don't. Cards shouldn't sit in limbo for up to 30 days, waiting on buyers to maybe pay.

His report card is not looking very good, been there 5ish months and 6 negatives...tells me a lot. I dont expect a positive on his second order even though I bowed down and kissed his feet and added tracking for his $1.78 box order.

My box orders go out twice a month with about 10 - 15 orders each time so it doesn't take long for me to add the same tracking number 15 times to the customers it pertains to.

If you are a higher volume seller then I could see it becoming a little time consuming, but to me it's still part of the process.

I wish Max would also open up API access, or make something more streamline for uploading tracking numbers.

I average 25-30 box orders a day, and there is absolutely no way on earth I'm uploading a tracking number to any of the orders. The site just makes it way to time consuming.

If they want tracking they should pay for it. Paying 50 cents for up to 65 cards and expecting tracking is not happening with me. I ship box orders every 7 days, the cards get packaged in an envelope with a label and placed in the box. At the end of 7 days (usually 8-10 envelopes) I put peanuts, tape the box, weigh it and print a label. At this point its not worth it to pull them back out just to provide a tracking number. Sold over 5200 cards and besides this guy not a complaint about being late or adding tracking.

I don't think you are understanding. The tracking number that shows it going to Green Bay (sportlots headquarters) is what I give them. All the buyers get the same exact tracking number that shows it's on the way to Green bay. It costs me nothing but a few seconds to add it to each customer one by one.

Sure I understand. If they want a tracked shipment mine start at $3.35. If they want the cheapest I offer with no tracking but notification from Sportlots when its in their box its 50 cents. I'm not a high volume seller on Sportlots but Sportlots is not my only game, adding tracking where its not required just isnt worth it to me.

As a buyer, I appreciate the tracking but do not need it for box orders. Only a handful of sellers have done it.

I had one order be En Route for over 7 weeks with no response to questions after 5 weeks on if it was shipped. Tracking for the box they sent would have helped with that.

Maybe I'm the one that's confused. Are you saying that you cant be bothered to copy (control C) the tracking number (that you had to pay for anyway on the package going to Green Bay) and then paste it (control V) inside the customers tracking box on the orders filled page? It's a couple of seconds.

Edited to add: I would say that doing it is going the extra mile, but it's so easy that's I will call it going the extra half yard. lol

Let me make this easy: If you want tracking with your BOX order dont order from me.

What if I sent box orders to Sportlots via PWE (which I have) still expect tracking? The box shipping is between you and Sportlots not you and the customers. Have you ever had a shipment diverted because you gave a tracking number to someone it didnt belong to? All they need is your info, they already have Sportlots info, very easy to divert a package if all info is known.

I'll send you the screenshots of my next filled orders screen and you tell me which ten to add the tracking to without seeing the order numbers...remember seconds.

Its pretty simple, if you want to add tracking to box orders add it I'm not. No reason to argue over which way is better.

Mostly because your way isn't a way. You keep thinking the buyers expect this tracking number, they don't. ITS FOR YOU. Add it and you don't have another worry. Don't add it, and you get problems like the one you came here venting about.

Oh, and you asked me to guess which 10 orders they are on your orders page, here's a tip...if you do it all the time they will be the only 10 box orders on your page with nothing in the tracking section yet.

I wish he would separate the filled orders between Box and other or give us other sort options in the filled order screen.

I'm doing 20 box orders a week and probably 10 PWE budget orders (no tracking) - I've moved toward adding tracking on my box orders, but it is more work than it needs to be.

Just a sort feature on the Account Summary page would be a major improvement.
The default sort is by Order Number which also happens to be the most random way to sort anything on that page. It would be nice if one could click on any of the column headers to sort - it would also be nice if Customer Name and/or User ID were one of the fields.

Personally, I have never added tracking to any of my box orders. They go out about 3-4 times a month and can only remember one person every asking me for it.

As a customer I like seeing tracking on box shipments. Otherwise, I have limited visibility to the true status of my order and your performance as a seller. Are you sitting on the shipment or is Sportlots not entering it?

I understand apparently the system makes it difficult for sellers to enter the information. Maybe this is the biggest hurdle.

I understand it's a low cost option for buyers and maybe we're getting the level of service we're paying for. For someone that said they sent a box order PWE to Sportlots, why? It seems like it makes more sense along the entire supply chain to wait for a larger shipment to save yourself some costs instead of multiple small shipments. If I'm doing a box order I'm obviously not in that big of a rush to get cards.

Just giving the buyer side here.

I like to get box orders out of my hands every 7 days. If I only have a few to send at the end of 7 days I always send PWE to Sportlots. Of course it has to be only a few cards to do it this way. The shipping that I charge covers the costs.

Just to finish up on this topic, I got my box ready for sportlots this morning with 12 orders, and it took 3 minutes to add those 12 tracking numbers to the customers on my orders filled page. So 3 minutes (180 seconds) divided by 12 customers equals about 15 seconds each.

I have had this issue early in the season every year. A guy will get a hot start. Someone will add all of his cards to cart and they sit there waiting for a check to come from that buyer. The player cools off, or gets injured, and then the check never shows at Sportlots. It's like a risk free way of "investing" in a hot start.

I have asked for tracking on a box order once. It was 30 days since the order, and I asked if it had been shipped and there was tracking. He responded that he forgot all about the order. No biggie, it got sent the next day, and I moved on with my life.
