Further, without that huge reward for finding a large stock, people will be more inclined to buy goods other than cards (most of which have exceptionally higher margin). Just my take...

Assuming it’s all kept behind customer service and not on the shelves it’s much more likely many of those items sit in the store and don’t sell.

If there's gonna be a glut of product sitting behind customer service as a result, I feel like there's got to be a time when it all goes on the shelf. Like after 48 hours, all those opening day blasters go on the shelf with no limit.

I know it’s a technicality but I guess I don’t understand.

They are selling you open product (they cut it before you purchase)
Or
They are opening your product (they cut after you purchase)

I have a major issue with both. Either they are intentionally devaluing a product and forcing you to buy it at full price.
Or
They are devaluing your goods after purchase.

If they want to cut the boxes open and sell them to me at “open box” prices fine, otherwise it’s an issue.

Sadly I think the most logical next step is a lot of these guys applying to Target/WM/Vendors/etc. in order to backdoor product. Just too much money in it.

How are they going to know if you bought in the morning at 8am, and then came back at 9 in a different outfit? Are they going to pull up your driver's license or have some way of verifying you never bought earlier in the day?

I'm all for this, and hopefully it means i can actually buy basketball or football. We'll see though.

The guys at my Target were starting to put these signs up, and I asked what was going on, the lead loss prevention guy went over with me and said hopefully it gets stuff back to collectors.

I knew Target wasn't going to like people camping outside their store.

Funnily enough, as I was leaving at 6:45 pm, 3 people were already waiting outside in their chairs. I couldn't believe it. lol

For this to work they need to do virtual line with a lottery. Otherwise this news system will be a. Mess. Move it to Sunday.

Interesting. So is this just going to encourage people to camp out in their cars in the parking lot with a sprint to the entrance doors when the store opens?

maybe they are anticipating that the product they put out for a day won't last long enough for people to come back later and get more.

You dont have to purchase it.

Our target was opening blasters and selling them as individual packs marked up at one point.

Dont like it, dont buy it.

It is interesting...if we're talking about true generational talent rookie cards to collect in the year 2021, it might be Kirill and Khamzat.
