You didn’t answer my question.

But, yeah none around here are doing it so honestly I don’t care.

Didn’t see a question mark.

But I assume this was your question.

Hi I want some Prizm basketball.

Ok you can purchase one but we have to cut the plastic wrap off beforehand.

Then you make your decision.

will be interesting to see if this will be enforced as a Target nationwide policy, or if they will still leave it up to each individual store

i know out of the 8 or so Targets in my area, only 3 of em went to the whole "friday 8am for $19.99 and above" thing, while all the others stayed same (minus the limits of course)

it probably will be the stores choice but if it works well more will follow

“Are you selling to me at a discount price since you are selling it open box?”

That’s my issue. I prefer to decide what I want to do with my wax, and the bulk that I’ve bought in the past 18 months is stored away sealed.

Then your decision is obviously known to you and you’d need to hit another target.

People were complaining about blaster packs being sold and manager said his store his policy.

i don’t see anywhere on the memo where it says it’s at stores discretion. now i do think some stores management border on incompetence and might not enforce it right away.

some of my stores never even put the “friday” sign out, apparently it only went to the store directors and they didn’t see it so the excell rep had to give them a sign to put up.

I'm all for this, and hopefully it means i can actually buy basketball or football. We'll see though.

The guys at my Target were starting to put these signs up, and I asked what was going on, the lead loss prevention guy went over with me and said hopefully it gets stuff back to collectors.

I knew Target wasn't going to like people camping outside their store.

Funnily enough, as I was leaving at 6:45 pm, 3 people were already waiting outside in their chairs. I couldn't believe it. lol

Well it's funny how now Target is worried about the safety issue of people camping out overnight awaiting the 8 AM Friday frenzy.

What did they was going to happen when they starting going with this policy? They had to know knuckleheads would start camping out overnight or get there very early in the morning to ensure they would be the first to get product.

Seems Target really didn't think this thru very well, or they just don't realize how bat #@#@#@#@ people are for cards nowadays.

If they go to the lottery type system that would eliminate the standing in lines overnight. You could still sell everything at 8 am 1 day a week and have it be over with too.

Anyways, it's about 8pm here in California and I just drove home from the gym. Passed by the Target and there's already a small group waiting for tomorrow.

Crazy times!

couple of things i wanna get put out there

1, just because you "camp out" in line at 2-3am, doesn't make you a reseller

2, the whole remove shrink wrap after purchase is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. How childish can you be?

3. which leads me to the whole Childish aspect of whats been going on the last year now. Vendors (especially Walmart), going to stores and then just.......not doing anything. Ive heard people say they will just sit around in electronics and just "fill whenever they feel like it" Talk about camping in line being a "waste of time", how is that process not just as ridiculous. Childish with the ridiculous bickering in lines from those who leave go to their cars, go take a leak, etc, etc

Why do they even bother selling cards anymore? It doesn’t even seem worth it to them.

I have an idea to manage the "1 item per day" policy:

Stamp something on their hands, sort of like they did when you gained admission to a card show....it's not like it will be washed off any time soon.

It’s funny to read this thread.

You can pretty much divide it into three groups of people

1. The group that gave up on finding retail and no longer cares
2. The group that actively searches for retail and cannot/rarely find it
3. The group that stalks the excel reps, cleans shelves off and is now realizing the cash cow is coming to an end

It’s a cluster of pure blowout glory.

4. The shoe boys "cooking" and "copping". They can "cop" that one pack or box.

I have first hand info of a gun being pulled at my target. Dead serious. Manager also being fired over cards.

I wish Live PD was still a show. Can't believe the cancelled it after the whole George Floyd murder. If anything you would think that show would make law enforcement be on their best behaviour.

Dan Abrams has said they are working on bringing it back, I think he has his own network or is starting one.
