Default Mount Rushmore of Songwriters

Simply put, whos' on YOUR Mount Rushmore of songwriters? Was thinking about this on the way in to work today. For me, it's gotta be:

Bob Dylan
Leonard Cohen
Paul Simon
Tom Waits

It's a tough decision. Thought about Lennon/McCartney, but they were better as a duo. Bowie? Close, but not on my list.

Your turn, who's on your list?

Gotta have Bernie Taupin on there.

Strong consideration for Prince as well.

I don’t care for the others music listed so far. I’m only listing all time greats that I enjoyed their music.

Prince
Eminem
Bob Marley
Johnny Cash
David Bowie

Everyone’s Rushmore is different.

quite incredible how many hit songs they have written for others. Seeing them perform said songs is weird hearing from someone else.

Lennon/McCartney shared rights to many songs, but there was virtually no collaboration between the two.
Many great picks here, also Brian Wilson and Holland/Dozier should be in the conversation.

My man rhymed "mansion" with "Wisconsin."
