Well, the ESPN crawl at lunch was talking about the Golden State Warriors creating the first team-produced NFT collection. Odd that they're "competing" with NBA TopShot so quickly.

IMO those days are gone, beyond getting lucky twice(getting a "good" pack and pulling a "good" player).

BUT, I do think there's still plenty of money to be made. Just not like in Jan & Feb. I'll still buying any packs I can get my hands on...if I can ever get my hands on a pack again that is

Market Cap has flattened over the last few days, now seeing a slight uptick. I'm also seeing the same in an index of moments I'm tracking - in particular while price is moving slightly, supply of listed moments starting to reduce. Volume also looking good.

Likely just art NFT's with no video. A bit unsure about how the logo thing would work but it would be silly that a team backed NFT wouldn't be allowed to use their own logo.

I wouldn’t get that excited. They’re about to drop in another 900K moments, which has consistently had a negative price impact on existing moments. Should be a Holo Icon drop and a new Rare set drop in the next few weeks the high-end S2 market as well.

Volume is still pretty low overall and I’m pretty sure liquidity on high-end is mostly non-existent unless Dingaling is still buying.

I’d say the only profitable games in this town for the foreseeable future will remain the pax lotto and swing trading.

Agree with all of this. I've been a collector for most of my life, 30+ years now, and i've been in and out of them through the years. I've collected everything from cards to comics, action figures and lots of other random items. There hasn't been any items that I see myself actually dying with as most of the time I either sell when the profit seems too good or move on to another avenue of collecting. All a part of the fun in collecting for me. There isn't just one way to collect and it is possible to look at pricing while also collecting. I look at Top Shot the same way I look at everything else I collect; if I can make a certain multiple and don't see the value in the moment for my collection then I'll sell it. I'm in Top Shot as both an item to collect and a potential for future profits. I have many other financial responsibilities in my life and don't collect to just waste my money and buy things that don't have value to anyone else.

You're talking about the market as a whole. Using 2 moments/players to index an entire market is negligent. And if you don't think you're going to see a negative impact on even LeBron and Luka moments when they flood the market again, well you're just wrong.

While Dapper Labs says they still technically in "beta" mode and are enabling withdrawals as fast as they can — the company told CNN that as of April 23 "more than half" of customers have access to withdrawals — some of the users who have been waiting to gain access to their money have given to despair.

Agree. I think this is the biggest drop yet, should have a significant negative impact on the market, this might be the beginning of the $1-$3 "common" era.

For what it's worth that FVV situation was investigated and it turned out that it involved a Lebron deal. Two people made a deal for a Lebron for $140k but they were worried if they listed it that someone else would snipe it so they used the FVV to make the deal and then gifted the Lebron. Not an ideal situation but it isn't as nefarious as it looks. To be honest you would have to be an idiot to do something illegal like that. It sticks out like a sore thumb.

Yeah, there was plenty of 1 dollar moments in TS from the start until mid February. You need cheap 1 dollar moments. Not everything should be a gold mine
