No clue. I don’t have access to any of their accounts. We shall find out soon though. Except for those that deleted their info I guess. I assume the companies can pull that info if deleted? Not sure. Will be fun to see all the messages back and forth if they show us.

Lots of Sunday morning lawyers writing articles about how he should have settled, so the fact that he keeps doubling down on his denial means that he could be crazy enough to want to take this to court..

Or he thinks he's innocent and knows if he settles everyone will assume he's not. The problem is, even based on his own statements, he's at least guilty of paying for sex. I know the VP is in favor of legalizing it but right now, that's a no-no.

I heard a radio guy say Rusty Hardin has settled all (or just about) athlete civil suit matters he has represented. I expect the same outcome even with all the noise...Both Attorney's are posturing right now through the media.

The cases against Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson return to court on Thursday for a status conference. Attorney Tony Buzbee says most of his clients will personally appear for the hearing.
Via Mark Berman of FOX 26 in Houston, Buzbee said that 12 of the 22 plaintiffs have “insisted on being present” for the hearing “because they were called liars by Watson’s attorney,” Rusty Hardin.

Well 6 of the 12 Buzbee said would come showed up for court. Pretty uneventful - just more he said she said.

Buzzbee is not getting the media attention he was hoping for. I am not so sure criminal charges will come because the Texans would have already released him. My guess is this is settled before the draft or it will be a slow trickle of cases dropping for the next 18 months until this goes to civil court..

I mean, AB just settled his ONE case from nearly two years ago. This isn’t gonna happen before the draft and most likely not settled until after the season really. These things drag on until the final hour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You are probably right, I would say if there was a quick settlement it will happen in the next 9 days because Buzzbee has the most leverage now before they talk to the NFL. I would put that at maybe a 5% chance, most likely going 18-24 months but then the question is where does he play during this time? Maybe a trade right before the season? Or does Watson stay out for 2021 season?

Yeah all good questions. AB did play for the Pats and TB while it was just lingering. Or, I think the Pats released him after the allegations came out is how it went. Either way, he could play somewhere anyways. It’s kinda funny how whatever team currently has the player usually releases them and then another team tip toes in and reaps the rewards of picking them up on the cheap. Look at Hunt in Cleveland. Nobody really looks down on the browns for that pickup. Did anyone say anything bad about TB for picking up AB? I don’t think so either. Maybe in this instance the Texans hold forms and don’t release him. It’s Watson and not some decent RB or even a start WR so it is new territory on that regard. Grading assets for a playing with pending litigation is a bit different than signing a player pretty cheap while allegations are pending. I really don’t have a hot take on what could happen. It could go any which way. Texans sit him out (and he sits outs on his terms?) Texans trade him at draft or pre-season for peanuts Texans release him. He’s on exempt list and they’re just stuck with him for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Crazy right. You actually have to prove someone is guilty in order to throw them in jail. Don’t worry, I’m sure the leaders of our country are working on getting rid of that pesky little rule. Hope someone accuses you of something you didn’t do and destroys your reputation one day. See how it tastes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There has been a few articles about the lawyers going silent and the thought that it could mean a possible settlement.
I wonder how much money the Texans lost by not getting involved earlier to try and settle on their end? If they had just decided to pay off Buzzbee they are looking at a return of 3 1st round picks.. now they will get nothing.. https://www.google.com/amp/s/sports....062023844.html |
