You have 2x better shot of hitting a Haaland in UEFA Sapphire though.

I'm an F1 (and soccer) newbie but this F1's first year of Topps Chrome. Might even be the first "real" licensed F1 card product out there.

If one or both are true, that's massive in regards to potential.

Not exactly. Hamilton has 17 cards on the base card checklist. That's the equivalent of 8.5 cards on a 100 card checklist... so 8.5 times more likely to hit a Hamilton than a Haaland.

You were specifically talking about card #1 with your $350 comment. Of course there are other Hamilton‘s but they are not nearly as valuable.

Off Topic for F1,

Got my first 5 TL boxes, with 55 more incoming (30 confirmed shipped) I decided I wanted to open til I got an auto. Hit a 10/10 Sunshine parallel in box one. Then hit the Moon Beamer Blue auto /16. Someone offered me $600 immediately, and I just went with it. Looks fair compared to comps.

Edit-maybe a touch low on the moon beamer art card but still 100% ok with the sale.

Edit 2-took 160 on the Sunshine gold non auto. I think with F1 Distracting some of us (me included) we forgot there is a ton of fanfare behind this product.

Looks like F1 sapphires have settled around $750 per. Not bad for first day of public release.

Far from. Wait til these get in hand. There’s a ton sitting on eBay and not many moving. Buyers have strong hands too

Allot of these are already in the hands of those that want them most too

It’s eerie how the eBay listings there are 141 boxes stacked (BIN): ~50 at less than $1000, ~50 to $1250, ~50 to $2000+. The low is $800, high is $4,500, and only a few multi box orders (~$1000-$2000 per).

If you’re looking at auctions, there are 37 with only one auction ending today (min bid $900 not reached); 3 ending tomorrow, hovering around $700.

I definitely don’t think there going under 700 if there is a slight dip. There’s a bunch on EBay but not a ton. eBay is definitely not flooded like some releases. Same thing happened with UEFA. First 48 hours was the lowest price to purchase at and prices slowly went up after that. At first I didn’t think these had a chance of ever reaching 2k a box. After seeing some breaks and prices, these will be 2k in a couple months. People know that

If the singles continue selling high, the boxes will hold strong. That's what happened with UEFA. Those were sitting at $400-$450 for quite a while and then exploded.

There’s some big money cards in this release. Hamilton > Haaland price wise for Sapphire. This is one of the better bang for your buck products on the market.
