Default Jackie Robinson Cut Signature (2020 Topps Series 2)

I finally got around to buying a Jumbo Hobby box of Topps Series 2.

The first 6 packs were as disappointing as usual. But then my son (14 years old) opened the 7th pack and said "This pack's relic is thinner than the others." Then he realized it wasn't a relic - it was a One-of-One Cut Signature of Jackie Robinson!

We'll probably keep it, but do you have any guesses as to its value?

No idea of value but that I’d take this over a trout bowman chrome rookie auto any day
Wow

Beautiful. No snap case for me either. It will likely damage the corners.

Congrats to your boy! That’s a really nice looking hit! Jackie’s autos have increased in value a lot the last couple of years. You can typically find them anywhere from $700 for a bad cut to as much as $5,000 for a nice pack pulled auto like this. I’d hang on to it.

I hate cut autos but this may be the best looking one I’ve ever seen.

Value is probably somewhere between $3K-5K.

But to hell with the money. You pulled a Jackie Robinson auto with your son. That's a priceless family treasure.

Congrats to you and your son!

Wow, that is a beautiful cut. I don't think I've ever seen a better Jackie cut than that...please get it in a proper holder asap.

Done. In a magnetic holder now. Is that good enough? Recommendations for something better?

This is how to do a cut auto.

You got one of the best I’ve seen. That’s gorgeous.

Pro Mold makes mags that fit penny sleeves, I’d order one of those at some point just to have that extra layer of protection.

Co-sign. Topps has done some real crap work with cuts over the years, even in the ultra-high-end Transcendent, but this one is the goods. Perfectly framed all around. An amazing pull and even better to share with your son - I can only hope the memory of that will last for years upon years, regardless of what you decide to do with it.
