Sorry if this has been covered already, but is there any correlation between the list disappearing and popping?

I ask because this is the first time I've ever had a list disappear. I have been in QA2 like most for weeks, but the list just disappeared yesterday.

Is this a good sign or meaningless?

Yeah usually grades will pop shortly after the list disappears. In my past orders I've had it be the same day or next day or so. I have an order right now where the list disappeared Saturday morning and it still hasn't popped, so I'm not sure how long it is taking nowadays, but it should be soon!

Grades popped yesterday! It's bittersweet, my ratio of 10-9's (7 card order, 10s (x5), 9 (x1), 8 (x1)) is AWESOME, but the most valuable card (Tatis) got a 9

I have seen this happen first hand. A friend of mine, who is in his late 70’s) sent in a 2013 Bowman gold (paper) Anthony Rendon RC and it came back as trimmed. The guy pulled it from a pack in 2013 and put it in one of his boxes. Whenever a player gets hot, he goes into his boxes and sees if he has their cards. He was happy to find the gold Rendon.

Another case happened (around 2018/19) when an older gentleman came into our shop with a small box of cards from his childhood (1950’s). They hadn’t been touched since he was a kid. We sent in the majority of cards (all from 1956) to PSA almost all came back with decent grades (6, 7, 8’s) except for maybe 3 or 4 that PSA claimed they could be trimmed. Two of them were Campanella and Clemente. The other star players were graded. The owner hadn’t touched baseball cards since his childhood and didn’t cut them, pin them, tape them to a book, etc.

I only ask because back in November I was going through some monster boxes that were covered in dust (they were from the previous owner of our shop) and in one of the rows I saw a small stack (maybe 40 cards) of 2002 Topps Chrome. Sure enough, card #100 Tom Brady was in there. It’s wild because he was on the packaging that year, but no clue why he wasn’t pulled. There were some refractors and a black refractor in there so maybe it was out there temporarily and forgotten about. I sent it in to PSA and it came back a 9.

Very cool though to have two black refractors.

I bought them the day before the Super Bowl ( $1700 and $1500 raw) but I also have a 3rd one that I bought last year thats a PSA 8. I did also find 4 base 2002 Topps Chrome Tom Brady's and a 2003 Topps Chrome Black Refractor Brady in my closet last year when going through old cards. The 2003 Blk Ref graded a 9 also. This is what made me aware of the early Topps Chrome Brady's being worth so much.

My first PSA bulk order finally popped. I was pretty nervous after seeing a lot of the results lately, but overall I feel it was pretty fair. I had submitted regular/express/super express services but no bulk. I tried to be selective and pull anything I felt had flaws except a few I wanted slabbed knowing they would not gem. No upcharges with a few selling for several hundred more than the limit. My list disappeared Saturday and finally popped today.

I was pretty nervous after seeing a lot of the results lately, but overall I feel it was pretty fair. I had submitted regular/express/super express services but no bulk. I tried to be selective and pull anything I felt had flaws except a few I wanted slabbed knowing they would not gem. No upcharges with a few selling for several hundred more than the limit. My list disappeared Saturday and finally popped today. 208 card Ultra Modern Arrived: 9/3/2020 Entered: 10/21/2020 Popped: 5/13/2021 121/208 10's (58%) 79 9's 1 8.5 5 8's 2 7's
