SPA PSA 10 ended at 114K including buyers premium. Didn't the majority owners of a PSA 10 at Collectable fractional share platform turn down a buyout offer of 170K immediately after SB win?

Can't lose buying his cards even at these prices but the 10x profit in 12 months has left the building.
That's my regret, that I didn't buy some of his cheaper rookies last year when they were under $40 or cheaper.

Contenders 9.5/10 went for 312K!!!

I cant imagine there being a better copy than the one that sold last night. it was beautiful. Centering was fantastic. edges "only" got a 9 but looked great to me. just a great card.

I find centering to be the first thing that sticks out to me on a card and this one was great.

So, any guesses what a PSA 9 or PSA 10 base contenders will go for now with the BGS 9.5 selling for over 300k?

Yea. You have to think the PSA 10 would get around 600-700, so a 9 maybe around 200? I am not sure what the most recent sales are, but those seem achievable to me. I figured the BGS would do well since one has not come up in quite some time, cannot even remember the last one, was probably pretty cheap.

Last 9 was back in Feb for just over $75k.

Yeah...those are ones to keep long term.

Market overall has softened, but those are legendary cards in high grades.

I still think the PSA 10 is a million dollar card on a good day

The sale is mislabeled on the site. The 75k was for a 8.5.

Agree, market def soften but not for the legendary rare cards that do not come up often. The PSA will def be a million at some point, and it was $135K in December 2019.

I do think his leaf limited, showcase, chrome refractors have room to explode.

I don’t think many collectors realize how low the POP is on his high end stuff.

The Fleer Showcase has a total of 5 BGS 9.5’s and 1 PSA 10! That’s it.

Wayne Gretzky’s O-Pee-Chee Rk in a PSA 9 is consistently going for 200-230k. It has a PSA POP over 50.

Brady’s base contenders 9s and 10s have a total of 30! That is mind blowing.

Correct. I have been saying that for a long time. Once more people and investors look at his cards, they will quickly see how low pop his best cards are. Also, last night proved what I have been saying for a bit, his patch on card autos will be worth a lot more than they are today, similar to Jordan and Kobe. The Flawless went for 65 plus BP. If you look close at those, there are not many made, basically not from 2005-2013, from Ultimate to Flawless.

A PSA 9 contenders recently sold privately for 250K prior to the BGS 9.5 sale last night

I know there are a lot of factors but it's tough to compare a Jordan or Gretzky rookie to Brady. Gretzky has basically two cards with the same design - Topps or O-Pee-Chee. Brady has 144 different rookies. If I want a Jordan or Gretzky rookie, there aren't many choices...

where do you think his pacific rookies should rank? Vanguard is numbered less than 800 and revolution is only 300. I am not real big on the tons of low numbered pacific parallels,
they are really just the same card with different serial numbers.

I think the revolution could be a sleeper and the design just looks so wonderfully 90's!

Revolution is the best upside IMO, at least for non-auto. 300 copies and few Gems, super tough with the foil and I think it is a very nice looking card, personally. There is a BGS 9.5 on Goldin right now at $10K. A PSA will surely be double or more than that finish.

Fair points.

My counter is that there are almost 3x PSA 9’s Gretzkys compared to Brady’s best card.

Just comparing supply and demand of both rookies.

Definitely more options with Brady, but I believe the base Contender is the Mantle of football.

The train has started to leave the station on important non-rookie stuff because... well, there isn't that much of it.

Even more importantly, there isn't a ton of it that's in gradable condition (Mint or better).

A few factors playing in to that:

-Limited supply of top end Patch autos
-Inconsistency across Topps Chrome Gold refractors
-Dearth of quality inserts from 2002-2017 or so

You get a very low number of cards that are recognizable, rare, and in gradable condition.
