I don't really like it, I don't understand the dual image in this one with them almost back to back.

2/4 today. Continuing my Palmer and Jamieson sets. Otherwise would probably only get the Arozarena.

The Mantle doesn't bother me, but Palmer's other cards were much better to me. In particular, it's another Mantle which O don't like to begin with, the orange bleeds over the lines a lot in splotches, and the face is not particularly realistic. Art, I know.

I am not really digging the Chinatown Market set, and there are so many Jackies. I don't love the sketch feel of this card either.

The Gibson is a little dark to me and this is a case where I think the horizontalness and two portraits detract mightily from the card. At least Chuck Styles has a consistent set going for him. His Ripken is a delight.

Passing on today. Probably pick up the Fucci Sparky later on once in hand or try to trade for one, same with his Viola and Sutton. Thinking there should be a Naturel this week. Unless its a Cardinal, think im sticking with Ermsy, Pardee, Naturel only

Been thinking thr same. Unfortunately, all the P2020 ones I have I'd like to trade off are high pr cards and I doubt many if any want a complete Don C set

I have mixed feelings on it. On my monitor, I kinda like how dark and stormy it looks, because the colors are bold and stand out against the light background. This card reflects how much of a struggle Gibson had to endure, while Efdot's card is more about how great of a player Gibson was. BUT, in hand, Idunno, the card may be too dark.

I also like the two portrait idea. It's unexpected and forces you to look twice on the card. I don't need a forgettable or safe Josh Gibson card. And, the art in both are good. BUT, I'd probably appreciate the details more in a larger print.

On the other hand, I don't like the horizontalness since it creates too much empty space and isn't consistent with his other cards. Again, it'd probably look better horizontal in a print than in a card.

If I need 18 outs, deGrom is my man.

Granted, if I really needed 8 or 9 innings, I'd prefer Pedro or Clemens.

Card 259 - 1985 Bo Jackson by Ben Baller - PR: 2186
Betts: 2392
Those are new low print runs for Ermsy and Baller right? Dead by the 4th?

That Ermsy is lower than I thought. Baller must have bought about 500 of his own Bo.

Im not a fan of Ballers cards designs, but they are usually constructed well, and that Bo looked like he passed it off to an assistant or something. It looked very off for a Baller card. I commend the stunt of going White Sox for Bo, but it just looked ... off.

Ermsy Betts slightly higher than Ermsy Bellinger, but Baller's PR was his lowest since P2020 Ichiro way back when.

I'm not sure what he (or his assistant) was going for with those creepy Village of the Damned eyes that he gave Bo Jackson. I don't think the design is terrible, it's just boring.

It's a competitor for worst Ben Baller card, but I've already given that award to his George Brett.

No, theres been some that made it all the way until the timer ran out (Siff Manuel and Fucci Sutton I believe?). Heck, Fucci Sparky Anderson AP wasnt sold out this morning and its timer closed just little while ago.

It isn't but the asking price is way too much as is for any of the other artist prints. Surprised most sell out so quickly. It's pretty much exactly the same card that isn't desirable in the first place. I understand the concept of a numbered rookie for example being more valuable but a numbered artist card that most don't care about and is very niche? Good luck getting your $200 back in the future.

I agree with you on this Bo. Just not a good card. Boring picture, wrong team, weird eye sparkles.....but still better than his Brett!
