A series doesn’t officially start until the home team loses a game amirite?!?!? Being a Bucks fan is so incredibly depressing.

It really is frustrating. Across the league it seems like a lot of coaches are just incapable of making any adjustments. If a team gets hot you just get rolled.

Did Giannis ever actually sign his extension, because he's gotta be re-thinking that decision right about now.

The Bucks performance has been absolutely pathetic, especially given that this is a Nets team playing without Harden!

That said, Giannis is part of the problem in that he doesn't demand the ball and try to dominate offensively. Too many Bucks possessions end with him never touching the ball.

I shared in the playoff thread

As Ace Hood so eloquently said... "Same old sh*t, just a different day'.

That was something i thought about early on.

I get that to win they have to play as a team in the long run, but there needs to be situations where Giannis realizes that he needs to take over and every possession is either a shot, a pass to a shot, or a pass that sets up a pass to a shot.

I watched LeBron do it many times over the years. And although he didnt always overcome the opponent, there was plenty of success because of it.

Last comment I'll leave regarding Giannis and the series as I've done enough talking through the past 2 games...

- I've been outspoken against Giannis re-signing with Milwaukee since day one. I'm a die-hard Bucks fan but a bigger fan of Giannis and I have an eerie feeling we're going to waste his career like the Packers did Favre and Rodgers. It's par for the course w/ WI sports. We get so close but then get the rug ripped out from under us.

- I view Giannis not demanding the ball, not demanding to stay in the game, not speaking out against teammates to step up, etc. in the same lane as him re-signing. He's seemingly a great guy who wants to do right by everyone. That's fine and dandy when things are going well, but I want to see him get MAD and STEP UP. IMO that's the only thing separating him from the GOAT's. The talent is there, he has the passion to win, but he needs to develop that next level attitude/ego/etc. to make the jump.

- Holiday wasn't/isn't the answer. He's a great player but the Bucks didn't need another middle of the road shooter. The perfect compliment to Giannis and what fans have been longing for the past two years is a lights out shooter. 17 points in 37 minutes and 13 points in 34 isn't solving the problem the Bucks needed to address.

- Middleton is a walking brick when the lights are on. I let myself get excited in the Heat series, especially when he hit the game winner in Game 1, but now I'm reminded of my frustrations toward him. I have yet to ever hit a moment where I feel confident he's going to step up when we need him to which is unacceptable for a player on a max deal. However, Giannis (IIRC) was the one who wanted him and pitched for him to get the deal he got. If there is truth to that, he's living out the consequence of that referral.

- I hope the Bucks manufacture a trade for a pure shooter this offseason (because I do not think they can afford to sign one). If they don't, I hope Giannis forces their hand and he gets traded to a team that will understand what they have and surround him with shooters.

I also have to say because I think it's important to do so in today's internet climate. I'm a 'know-nothing' fan. I'm not a basketball guru. I've never played over intramurals and that was back in high school. I am sitting on my couch eating shaved ices ripping on grown men in a literal league of their own so what do I know? At the end of the day I'm nothing more than a disappointed fan and I think we all need to remind ourselves that from time to time. I hope everything I said turns out to be wrong and I'm celebrating being in the midst of a historic Bucks comeback at this time next week.

Still buying Giannis, still a die-hard fan, so counting down the days until Game 3!

Do or die game three. If they lose, going to be a good time to grab a Prizm Silver. Can’t imagine these three at auction so very well.

Part of the problem is that Giannis himself is a fairly one-dimensional offensive player.

He's great when he can get to the hoop, but that's it. He's about a 35% shooter from outside of 3 feet. He's not a great passer out of double-teams (5.9 APG, but 3.7 turnovers per game). He's a mediocre 3-pt shooter (28.7% for his career). He not good enough from the line to punish teams for fouling him.

Bottom line....for a good playoff team, he's not that difficult to contain.

Zion, BTW, has some of the same problems with being one-dimensional offensively, although he's developing a better mid-range game. But he doesn't have any outside game, either.

AD, at least, shoots around 40% from midrange.

But Giannis makes himself too easy to defend. At this point, offensively he's just another Blake Griffin.

A lot of that can be solved with better roster construction and coaching. Sadly the Bucks are pretty stuck with how much they can do over the next few years.

Unrelated to Giannis, but both Favre and Rodgers won SBs. Over 95% of NFL Qbs can't say that.

NBA asks Nets to stop putting a stopwatch on the jumbotron when Giannis is at the free throw line.

Who complained?

They can fix coaching. Look what McMillan has done in Atlanta. A new voice might be needed. I'm a Cubs fan and love Joe Maddon... He has a 4-5 year track record tho... Stuff that worked year one and two... Doesn't in year four.

This whole post is a joke, but comparing him to Blake Griffin is just plain crazy.

Is it?

Both are/were players who were dominant around the hoop, but had no jump shot and were therefore very limited offensively away from the basket.

Both put up great regular season numbers but were part of teams that consistently underachieved in the playoffs.

Are you "watching" it? The seller can send offers to all watchers.

Not watching it. I've gotten offers like this a few times. Where i've randomly looked at something and then got offers.

Yes it is, Blake never sniffed an MVP or 2 like Giannis, was never a DPOY, never 1st Team NBA x3 (after this year).

Finished the 2019–2020 NBA regular season with the highest single-season Player efficiency rating in NBA history (31.9).

I could go on but it would get ridiculous.

does the Giannis hype die tonight?

0-5 from 3

2-7 from free throw... another violation for taking 13+ seconds. Had 3-4 other free throws where he took forever as well. I timed one at 14.97 seconds...even if not official... still 13 seconds easy.

He's not leading a team to the promise land being the #1 guy. Middleton isn't a #2.

I had high hopes for him a couple years ago...its been 3 years of the same thing. He breezed through the first 2 rounds in 2019 and the Raptor Wall shut him down. These past 2 years its been a HUGE struggle

Giannis is Tracy McGrady?

4-31 from 3.

It's not NASA science. The opportunity cost of those same possessions shooting even 45% from the interior....
