Wish I had those two Flaherty cards. One of the guys I collect and two holes in my collection.

It's your call on how you want to communicate your current status and process, but I will say this as someone who submitted over the last several months with the intent to consign. It's been really disappointing that you ripped the rug out from under us after advertising it as a service that you offered. I can easily say that I would not have subbed cards with you had I known this would be the case in June 2021. And while I understand that COVID-19 implications including positive tests with staff and wanting to keep everyone safe have had real impact to your process - it's clear now that more is at play under the covers as it relates to your move, your staff, your capacity, etc.

I'm sure I'll be ripped by you and your loyal subjects for saying this. So be it. I think a few months in being patient and waiting for things to be figured out has been fair. So if there is a message you can take from this, maybe it is to give a more definitive timeframe for when you will offer this service vs. a non-committal response. Thanks in advance - and if this message means that I'm banned from consigning with you - so be it, too. I haven't been able to the last few subs that have completed so at this point it's status quo.

I imagine the delay has to do with the volume of cards coming back each week. I know my most recent batch I sent in for consignment just took two weeks to get posted. Mix of stuff from $50 to $1000+. It’s never taken longer than three days before.

Everyone is looking to sell right now. Not going to do anyone any good to get G2C back up, but have delays in listing of a month plus.

You said a word. Yes I too like G2C and it definitely makes things easier when subs pop, however just as we are adjusting to the ever changing market we have to adjust as we wait for this service to open. Yes! It is taking longer to lost those items that we send, but in reality because of PCSPORTSCARD number of followers the eyes that are on our auctions, unless it is a major card that is promoted benefits the seller. I am listing more personally and selling more off eBay to build the resources I will need down the line. Good luck to all with your subs and however you move your slabs. This too shall pass and the hobby will stabilize and likely go higher, but only time will tell when.

I can't speak for Josh, but a G2C service seems like it would be very risky in this current climate where PSA fees are very high and prices are volatile.

Consider a scenario where someone sends in cheap Lamelo (or whomever) cards super express, hoping early gems bring a big profit. Cards are graded, sold off, and there's a $2000 negative balance because the cards didn't cover the grading fees. Trying to collect that would suck.

I can speak for myself and say that no one should rip you. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and it is a valid one. Unfortunately, as we grew we took on more space and now more space because we didnt have enough room for the amount of people we needed to provide the best service that we could. We cant make everyone wait weeks and we need to staff up which we have done and are doing more of. Last year at this time there were 3 people working for us (Me, Zach and 1 employee). We now have 4 more full time employees and 2 part time people. We didnt have room for more than the amount of staff we had which is why we took on more space. For reference we were in the Plainview office for 7 months total and outgrew it that fast. We now have enough space and are hiring but also moving slowed everything down. eBay changes to listing policies cost us a week because the 3rd party we integrate using failed the listings. We are back down to 2 weeks, we have more staff to list, we have a better system for pictures and its finally all coming together. You are correct with our communication but to continually communicate its not ready isnt really the answer either. If I had a definitive date I would provide that but I dont want to over commit to something and make it worse.

In no way would we cut anyone off for having an opinion, that seems extremely childish. Many customers have paid for their order and then shipped it back in. Some have asked us to hold them which we prefer not to do but we do it. I would guess in the coming weeks we will know exactly what is going on but there are some other things happening (that are personal on my end) so I cant guarantee anything. We are doing the best we can.

We don't offer any services right now but yes that is always a concern. The amount of packages we are tracking down payment on is higher than ever before. It is not a fun game and sometimes the bad eggs make it worse for the good ones.

Not much different from the current situation though. If someone is a POS, they're a POS. They could send in 500 cards, get horrible grades and just ghost Josh when he came for payment. Consignment doesn't really change that. The only real solution to that would be to make people pay the base fee up front and if there are upcharges, pay them on the back end.

Consignment wouldn't change anything in that example, but there are also instances where people think they may have profitable grades when they don't. That's most likely to occur with new releases, particularly with lower end cards sent in for faster services.

I’ve been wondering if a similar issue will hit PSA as they process the mountain of ultra-modern. New submitters sending in a ton of marginal cards (in both grading quality and card value) that the bottom has fallen out of now. Will some of them just walk away?

Standard 2020.146 popped! Disappointed about my Mantle (thought a 2) and the Tatis refractor, but pleased about the Tiffany Griffey!

I appreciate the response - I genuinely do. And I also appreciate that the whole environment and challenges from the last 16+ months have caused significant changes for everyone, all over the place - but especially in our 'hobby' - and I commend you as a business owner for navigating through all of it as best as you can because I know how tough it is and has been. I'm more pragmatic than perhaps I let on. You have a great business model and value proposition and have executed on it incredibly well - you have a lot to be proud of in that respect which I'm sure you already know.

I think the disconnect (for me) was stopping G2C yet still accepting consignments; and then the particulars that were mentioned to changes in your practices so as to facilitate getting back to G2C - ex: no ungraded would be accepted - yet new ungraded stuff goes up every day.

Regardless, I hope you're fully operational and where you want to be as fast as you want to get there - and enjoy continued success.

Any update on the grades for 124 standard? I see it was completed a couple days ago but haven’t received the grades popped email yet? Thanks!

Check your junk mail. Also, if I’m not mistaken, you can click on the sub on PCS, then your name and the grades should pop up for you. Congrats! I’m in .97 and it’s been in QA2 for what feels like at least a week.

STANDARD .97 (sent in August 2020) and STANDARD .162 (Oct 2020) both popped this morning and I'm pretty psyched.

Both had some PC cards.
.162 was my first time submitting jersey cards that weren't Ultra Modern and came back with a 10 and a 9!

193/300 10 rate on 2020.162 Standard. Majority of the lower graded cards are older so better than the rate even shows.

162 and 97 both looked, just eyeballing them, much better than my recent expresses.

Josh, if we have two different subs that popped at same time, is it possible to have them shipped back at once? I assume if its possible, I email groupsubs@pcsportscards.com and let them know the two I'm in?

Just email them. They'll do their best, depending on workload etc sometimes its possible and sometimes its harder

When we stopped them it was a combo of man power and moving cards from one office to the other. The inefficiency and chances of issues was too high. It was growing too fast and we couldnt properly handle it. We thought we were going to move in to a joint office faster but that took longer than expected. We are finally getting to the staff point where we think its coming very soon.

PSA seemed super generous! Lol, I went 100% (9/9) Gem rate. I know I had some god ones in there but this does surprise me given how tough they’ve been appearing to grade lately. Either way, congrats!!!

Nice on the 9/9. I think more of the new graders are getting more experience and the gem rate will improve. Hesitancy was likely one aspect of all the 9’s, but I would also say inexperienced submitters. I watch a YouTube video of a guy who complained about his grades and he admitted be only looked at them with his eyes and they looked mint. The cards were so off centered I thought “he needs glasses.

I eye ball all of my cards, but what you stated makes sense to me. Glad I was on the right end because the cards I submitted have probably decreased since sending them in back in Sept.
