I'm not sure what the difference is here, obviously collecting requires buying. The more moments you hold, especially full teams and sets, the more you are rewarded, literally incentivizing collecting.

I want to fly, but I hate that the airline expects me to keep dumping money into flights in order to reach elite status.

I don't think the score needs to be necessarily tweaked, they need to give people a chance at the higher moments that deliver higher scores without having to spend gobs of cash. Even if it was 1 in 100 base packs had a bonus moment in them or something. Again, my biggest hurdle with them is the fact that base packs deliver three moments of 40k+ that doesn't feel collectible because it's not that rare. Give people a chance at higher end moments to pump that score up a bit.

Also, I sold all the contents of my playoff pack for about $80 and put all that into Cavs moments. Again, I'm not blind hater but I am very critical of the platform given the amount of money they pulled in and amount of shenanigans they've pulled. They should have gotten way more over the insider trading they just got involved with. That should have resulted in that account being flat out banned and people being let go at Dapper.

But on the discord you'll see a bunch of freakouts and people yelling "FUD!" at you if you question any of Top Shot's decisions.

I'm a fan of the MGLE Moments and other moments that I don't have or don't care to spend hundreds to thousands on which means I won't ever own them and I'm completely ok with that. Some collectors need to learn to be completely ok with not having something and focusing on what they could actually obtain.

Here is the issue I have.

I've been collecting since the beginning. I have hundreds of Denver Nuggets moments as that has been my team. Yes, hundreds.

My collector score is nowhere close to being able to buy the new packs.

So I'm collecting, as they want. Propping up values of moments no one would ever care about like Gary Harris /18000.

So why can I not have eligibility for the big packs?

Never hit a good queue number for the rare packs, the packs I did open I did exactly what they wanted. Moved things I didn't want in the marketplace and reinvested the money into my PC stuff.

If I'm collecting and not there just to get rich, why can I not be eligible? Probably because they want me to invest even more money to buy moments I don't care about to raise that score.

And this is why I stopped putting money in.

This is exactly the problem. Someone like you should be eligible for all of the pack drops. People should be able to collect however they like. It shouldn't be that hard for them to differentiate between collectors and flippers and make the better packs available to actual collectors irregardless of how much money they spent. Sure there will always be exceptions, but it would be much more on the fair side.

If you have hundreds of Nuggets moments you should have a very large collector score, especially if you finished the team set. I would be willing to bet if that's the case that you will be qualified for the upcoming rare and finals legendary. This one is inflated due to the MP bonus.

This is correct. I think Jerami Grant & Torrey Craig in Nuggets jerseys are the two $100+ moments.

Disagree, I'm in a bunch of great discord channels for various topics. The best ones are started by the community, not the brand or product itself. Jump in the Own the Moment discord. No one is pumping anything and they don't just let everyone join automatically, so you don't get a lot of TS general spillover.

I don't believe they've ever said what they will tweak other than they will listen to feedback and see how people are collecting and adjust to that. They have really emphasized collecting your favorite team and sets so those are likely to stay and may continue to get bumps. If I had to guess what gets tweaked next I think they will add more weight to TS debuts and series 1 moments, and take away some of the bonuses for stacking the floor moments.

I’d rather see them let people collect any way they want and do away with the whole collector score, it just seems biased.
