just to add to your list of recent sales...

that beat to hell Hollywood Hogan "HH" version that is probably like in PSA 3 condition sold for $680 and positive feedback was left by the buyer. - $680

The one that was offered as a BIN OBO for $1200 that was signed "Hollywood" on the back was actually bought by me. Seller accepted my offer of - $900

I'm pleased to see the prices continue to climb. Here are a couple I've picked up over the past few years:

All cards are PC - just wanted to share.

The last five have sold for: $1,500, $850, $600, $525 and $1,000 (all since March 11, 2021.)

I'm a bit surprised as I find it a pretty unattractive card, but FYI.

I've always thought this set was among the uglier auto sets ever made.

I think what I have always liked about this set and the design is that all three autograph sets have the same design and it truly seems like they are one large collection. I really wish Topps would pick one WWE set and keep a consistent design each year to try to accomplish the same thing.

I am not going to post a fake card.

It’s Charles Robinson the WWE referee’s card. He helped get the cards signed back in 98 and 99. Mongo never sent his box of cards back.

In recent weeks he has been selling his cards. I think he is going to move forward with the Bulldog sale at $8,500 direct with no fees. My target for him was $10,000 on a public site and it’s close to the same net money.

I own a 8.5/10 BGS of this card and have been offered a lot more than 2k for mine lately.

Anyone suggesting the Booker T card that was listed on eBay recently is a fake has no clue what they are talking about. Gregg got the cards straight from Booker T.

I am not certain if he sold it yet or not but he was in serious negotiations to sell for close to 6k. Like a lot of sellers he posts things on eBay to create awareness and prefers direct sales.

The Mongo card(s) are owned by Charles Robinson the WWE referee. He had a good number of the cards from the set including the Bulldog and has been doing direct sales to collectors. He had no interest in selling on EBay because of the fees.

With that crappy Booker T Signature and Wrong Logo i bet that PSA or Beckett will not authenticate it.
He would have been better off using a crayon or pencil for the sig rather than that crappy marker they used especially considering the value of the card. I feel very sorry for anyone who gets suckered in to buying that card.
Hopefully any prospective buyers see this thread before committing to buying that card.

If you really are a Financial Adviser you would have done well advising your friend on using a better marker for the sig.

Just my opinion, but I think the McMichael card is a modern custom. The image on the card seems too grainy and washed out. The cards does not seem to show the UV coating that should be present when taken with a camera (there should be a slight reflection on the surface).

I think it is unwise to judge the authenticity of a card based on an Internet photo.

If anyone plans on buying it, I'd suggest examining the card in person before buying.

As discussed in the past we believe the set was printed on (2) x 55-cards sheets (5x11), which was a standard for Topps at the time, which means all 110 cards have been accounted for, and leaves no margin for additional cards to be "discovered".

It would be great if we could get some clarification from Topps about the set.

First of all my profession has nothing to do with the card world. Gregg makes his own decisions. He owns many of the best wrestling cards that exist and has thousands of signed Wrestling All Stars. Easily top three most valuable wrestling card collections. To anyone truly in the know you are embarrassing yourself.

He had Booker sign in blue and black. I am sure you will like the black sharpie version better.

What I find so amusing is you are essentially accusing either Gregg or Booker T of making fake cards. Mind boggling.

In terms of the Mongo card. Charles Robinson has them all. It is not just one.

The conspiracy theories are laughable. It is one thing to be skeptical in life but this isn't being skeptical.

Good luck with your collections guys and thanks for the laughs.

SO Charles Robinson has them all meaning there about 500 hundred of the Mongo cards and is trying to sell them for about 6 - 10k each untill he floods the market with them.
Thanks for the Financial Advice MATE...

I am not aware of Charles trying to sell any of them. He asked me if I thought it had any value because they weren't signed and couldn't be at this point so I would be quite surprised if he was trying to get that kind of dough.

He is trying to get a big number for his Bulldog as he should. My advice put at least another $4,500 in his pocket on that so I am sure he is happy he asked me for my opinion.

You keep using the word Mate so maybe you are the guy from Australia who low balled him.

Topps, please provide us with information about a niche junk wax set from 22 years ago that very few people cared about up until the boom 18 months ago.

Oh, and the information we want is all about cards that were never really packed out, just in the hands of agents who happened to be sent the cards in the hopes they would get signed.

They barely provide much information about current WWE sets, there is zero chance they have/will provide information about collector speculation on the checklist. Im also pretty sure the product managers who did these sets are no longer there.
