I loved seeing the fire, and the confidence in an array of post moves. He's starting to develop a decent little right hand jump hook when he goes middle, and hit the baseline turnaround fade a couple times. Plus the one legged Dirk fade is impossible to stop. I can totally see stories in 3 months of him just working on FTs and post moves all summer, win or lose.

he has a very versatile offensive game. hes about unstoppable driving, has a decent mid range fadeaway, post is decent but i would love to see more deep posting up, and can shoot good enough you cant/shouldnt leave him wide open. players do that when hes at the three point line but its a bad idea because he can hit the shot. skys the limit for giannis, we just have to see some titles and big play earning those titles.

That's always been the story IMO. And not because of Milwaukee itself, rather the management. They've done a poor job of building resiliency into the roster. There's no "next man up" and with trading away so many picks and giving themselves very little financial flexibility they've really hamstrung their ability to do it. They went all in without actually going all in.

But you either get it done or you don’t. Right?

I think the Bucks only play is to find more than 5 minutes for Bobby Portis. He can play with Giannis and without him on the floor and provide energy and a slight bit of toughness. The rest of their bench other than who they play already is too inexperienced.

If they fail to win, I'd be making small trades/signings to deepen the bench. Trade for a guy like Justin Holiday who's been a jack of all trades for the Pacers and obviously is good chemistry with Jrue. (I'd assume anyway)

Giannis put up 42 points (prob his best playoff games ever) and his team never look like they could win last night game.
The game has changed so much, legendary bigs like Shaq probably couldnt win titles too in this era

I agree on Portis. They keep giving heavy minutes to Tucker but I fail to see what he is contributing. Portis can provide the same spacing and presence on the offensive glass, but better. PJ's thing is defense, but Phoenix's perimeter guys have had no problem scoring and honestly he looks a step slow if he ever gets matched up on CP or Booker.

Don't stop at just Justin, they should grab Aaron and Kostas and Robin too! lol over half the roster would be Holiday / Antetokounmpo / Lopez

That is correct (I see what you tried to do there)....

At the end of the day the story will still be "Giannis can't win one in Milwaukee".

Now that doesn't mean there can't be other levels to it.

I mean, Ben Simmons and Trae Young are both losers in the playoffs at this point.... However, one raised his stock a heck of a lot higher than the other this postseason.

But neither of them got it done.

In addition to Portis, I’d really like to see Thanasis get some time. He plays very hard, and giving the Bucks extra length would be beneficial!

I know it's flawed but look at the Game Score for the series: Giannis is well ahead of everyone else and the next 4 (!) players are all Suns. I think this is pretty much in line with what has happened in the first 2 games. How can they win with Holiday scoring the same as Cam Johnson and Bridges outplaying Middleton?

I think the Suns are content with Giannis getting his, hence the lack of a “wall” and plenty of single coverage with Ayton or Crowder. What they don’t seem to want is Middleton catching fire. So Giannis will continue to get his, but how Middleton is being defended is the biggest story here.

It’s smart. Give up the easy two to defend the threes from two guys who aren’t that great.

Middleton and Holiday are too inconsistent to win a 7 game series against a good team at full strength. Can’t see this one getting past 6 games.

The problem for the Bucks isn't when Giannis is on the court... it's how bad they fall apart when he is off. Through 2 games, Bucks are:

+4 in 75.5 Minutes with Giannis on
-27 in 20.5 Minutes without Giannis on

The Suns MO is just 'hang on when Giannis plays' and blow them out when he sits.

Tomorrow is going to be really interesting to see how the Bucks come out the gate.

I would take the over in whatever the spread is. Milwaukee HAS to come out with urgency, and the supporting cast shoot way better at home. We’ve had narratives flip back and forth so many times this playoffs I think we still have some plot twists remaining

Welp... it's do or die time...

Knowing how bad they've been with Giannis off the court, it'll be interesting to see if it's time to push him for 44-45 mins yet.

I assume if they can get out to a lead you give him a rest... but if it's close it's almost like they can't keep him off.

If this goes to 6 and he can stay healthy, expect to see that kind of playing time.

If he's healthy enough he shouldn't come off the court unless absolutely necessary. There's nothing left this year to save yourself for. 192 minutes or bust.

I dont know that its possible to go all 48 for multiple games in a row without grinding yourself down too much.

Even lebron sat 2-3 mins in 2015 when it was he vs the Warriors

For sure I don’t expect that. Just making the point that there’s nothing left to rest for.

Nope...

if he's healthy he needs to go 45+ mins.

Only exception is a blowout or 20+ point lead early.

Still don't sit him long in the second situation.

PWCC has the Immaculate Premium /10 that ends tonite coinciding with the end of the game. Feel like they should have had it end prior to the start of the game or clearly after.

They decided to play Portis more and he's rewarding them.

DAMNIT. Bid $25k thinking there was no way I’d lose. It went for $22.5k or so a month ago. High-end Giannis going strong. I’m pissed. I needed this one
