Topps Olympics Update? - Page 4

Will be opening 2 cases tomorrow night for BO breaks. Personal half case probably not until friday.. but 2 cases will be a nice preview. As far as card design from what I've seen on ebay, im not the biggest fan but hope to see some surprise autos.

Anyone know what the MSRP on the blaster boxes is? I wouldn’t mind ripping a few if I can find them in the wild. Nothing online at Walmart or Target at the moment.

Looks like a Blowout competitor had blaster boxes and 40-box cases available for pre-sale but they’re currently out of stock.

I’m curious why Topps is releasing blaster boxes for this. 2018 was hobby only, right?

Winter was hobby only but other summer ones had blasters

After seeing cards pop up on ebay I have mixed feelings about the set. Overall I'm disappointed by some of the names they don't have and the duplicate cards are annoying. But some of the cards look nice and I might grab a few at the right price.

I like the look of the USA flag (red, white, and blue) parallels, though I prefer the medal parallels in 2012 / 2016 rather than this year's altered borders. I also find it interesting that they initially advertised the parallels as USA Flag /99 and Gold /25 but they turned out to be USA Flag /299 and Gold /99.

Yeah, my use of "mixed feelings" is somewhat generous ha. After seeing the checklist I wasn't sure if I would try to get ANY cards, and now I plan to look for a few for a good price.

I feel the athletes picks a little strange. No Biles, Felix, Maroulis, Dalilah Muhammed? Multiples of the same person? I am a wrestling fan, but Cox, Snyder, Burroughs (all great) but only Snyder made the team. No Woman wrestlers?

MSRP for blasters should be $20. Noticed a flipper had a few boxes for $35 on the secondary market. Could not bee much more than $20 to make any kind of profit at $35.

Thanks. I figured they had to be around $10 with so few cards. No way am I paying $30+ on eBay for a $10 blaster.

Opened both of mine and got 0 parallels and a couple inserts…wish we could go back to 2016 when the blasters often had multiple hits!

Ill run more if the price gets down like 1500 a Case.... maybe. I dont like this years design and the checklist makes me gag. That being said ill probably still complete the auto set quickly and call it a day.

That's still too high. It's a worse product than Winter was and that was on special for $400-$500 for a while
