Default Guerrero Superfractor Tiger Woods Ja Morant MISSING FedEx

UPDATE: Cards have been located and returned to me. 4 months later after I had given up I get a random call from a Fedex employee in the US saying they found a box with no shipping label attached on the outside. The only reason she called me was because I had a packing slip inside with my name and number on it. She then shipped it back to me on what was suppose to be an overnight. I then had to pay duties to get it back and it took another 6 days of sweating! She had no idea this was even a lost package in their system, even though I spoke with numerous people in both the US and Canada throughout the 4 months .

Bottom line, I got the cards back and I'm super happy about that. Thanks to all of you who helped spread the word, I really appreciate it.

Hey Guys,

I wasn't sure where to post this so I posted it here for the Vlad as it's most easily recognizable.

I'm a mess right now, these 8 cards went "missing" from FedEx during shipment to one of the auction houses. Because I'm in Canada, the duties become tricky, so I didn't insure them for the actual full value, plus, I'm an idiot who doesn't learn from experience. I should have learned my lesson the last time FedEx lost a 10k or when USP lost a 5k package but this one hurts way more. I had to file a police report based on the value and in hopes they show up somewhere and can be returned to me. Please be mindful in the future when shipping high dollar packages with these courier companies. In the last 12 months, I have shipped 6 higher dollar packages with both UPS and FedEx, 3 of them went missing and only one of the 3 was found.

Please, keep an eye out for these cards, the Super should be easy to recognize. I really don't want to spend the rest of my life searching for these, the last 3 weeks have really been tough. This has consumed all of my time just thinking about all that could have gone wrong on my end and on their end, I'd love to be able to move on from this.

I have beat myself up enough about this, right now I just need support. I would really appreciate your eyes and ears out there, anything you see or hear can help.

Thanks Mike

That Vlad will be pretty easy to spot if they're dumb enough to sell it publicly themselves. Sorry this happened to you.

I would reach out to CardPorn on Instagram. If you can get them to blast it out, it will probably be shared by every major card IG account. Might be a great way to get it out to the most people and get eyes on it before the National.

Seems like you should've taken your own advice here. The fact that you've had this lesson several times and still didn't learn, I just don't understand it.

I cannot for the life of me comprehend losing 2 of 6 packages worth $15000 and then deciding not to fully insure a package worth considerably more. Hope you get your cards back

That sucks...someone at FedEx likely peeked inside and got sticky fingers.

Posted a photo out on Instagram to keep a look out. I hope you get them back. I will keep my eyes peeled at the National this week.

To be fair, OP knows he messed up. Sometimes people are just looking for support when something crappy happens to them. He didnt ask for someone to steal his cards.

OP - Sorry this happened to you. Thankfully that Vlad should be tough to keep under wraps. Someone somewhere will post the card to show it off.

How long have they been missing? I just recently had a FedEx package that was "lost" for 10 days, but was found once it was escalated (BGS helped me out by initiating a "tracer").

Thanks for the support guys and don't worry, I'm not sensitive to criticism, I've tortured myself for 3 weeks about this. It's not as easy as saying let me insure this for a certain amount from Canada. The duties is very complicated as it's not a sale to the US. I should have researched more for this one though.

It has been escalated and I have spoken to the FedEx Management/Trace Department/Security etc. The results of their investigation is "Inconclusive".

I will take some of your advice and try to get this out there as much as possible. I have Instagram but have never used it, I will focus on that.

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it.

It is extremely bizarre that you've had 4 of 7 packages lost, even if one was recovered. I've seen it mentioned on here over and over from people who deal in super high end collectibles, not just cards but art too, that FedEx was as safe as it gets. I really wonder if there's some kind of targeted theft involved. The odds of it happening at this rate must be astronomical

Damn that sucks OP. Definitely hit up CardPorn on IG. You'll have dozens of accounts posting it by this evening, to their thousands of followers. Where in the FedEx process does it usually start missing? Is it the same location or step every time?

FedEx insurance limit is only 1k on collectables isnt it? So it wouldnt have even mattered if he put the full price on the package. I ran into the same thing shipping 3k worth of cards to someone through fedex. I was told you would have to have private shipping insurance on the package if I wanted to cover the full value.

Man this is horrible!! The purple FB is numbered correct? Might be helpful to put that out as well, in case they were stolen and said thief cracks the slab. Will post pics to my IG and spread the word man. Stay positive and positive things come

They do not give me the information when it goes missing other than "we can't find it but we are still looking". The last FedEx went missing at the Hub in Memphis and was found 45 days later, this was a shipment coming to me.

This one is Different, they picked up a local card shop, not a regular driver per the cameras. As far as the information they are willing to tell me today. It was last scanned when he picked it up and they have no other scans, even though it says on the tracking (In transit International shipment release
MEMPHIS, TN). They currently want to send it to the claims department to most likely pay out the insurance which I have refused for now. I do not want to accept the claim just yet because when I did that with UPS they own the package after than. I'm not sure if FedEx has the same policy but I don't trust anything they say.

I am not accusing anyone of anything as anything could have happened here, it could have fallen off his truck and been run over a million times never to be seen again.

I am waiting on a call from the manager to explain a little more of their investigation process but at this point, it's probably best for me to step away and let the local Police to what they do.

Pretty sure USPS registered mail is the absolute safest bet when sending high value items. I myself have never used it as I’ve never dealt with sending more than a few thousand dollars in a couple shipments but this is supposedly how it works.

Quote:
Tracking service begins from the time the sender presents the mail to the Postal Service to the point of delivery. An accountable individual must sign for the Registered Mail piece each time it changes hands and each intermediary office must prepare control logs. Registered Mail pieces also require specific packaging and sealing methods for security and protection. When not in transit, Registered Mail pieces must be stored in a locked safe, room, or cage separated from other mail.

You are correct, I have probably shipped 1000 packages through USPS even from Canada and they have never lost one. I have not tried sending high $ packages through them though as the length of time from Canada makes me nervous. They do not have an overnight service from Canada. The most I have shipped through USPS is $2500

Correct. They insure up to 50k and the packages are under lock and key and signed for at every stop.
I started using that after realizing that's how my gold/silver was always shipped to me.

Anytime I've shipped anything over $1k including higher dollar packages in the 5-10k range I've used USPS registered mail fully insured to the accurate dollar amount. Never had a single issue.

USPS is slow and sometimes loses FC mail or PWE, but they are rock solid with registered mail. FedEx and UPS are not even a consideration with their terrible track record.

Might it be worth it to fly to the cheapest U.S. city and mail it from there next time?? Talking about large $$$ packages of course.

So - 4 serial #’d cards? You might want to make a short text list of all the cards, and add those s/n, to append to any be-on-the-lookout type photos you publish. A list and the s/ns might stick in people’s memory a little better.
