Does it say on the back if that was a game used Stanford patch or not? I've never seen the back.

Amazing Nicklaus has about a worldwide 19% win rate and is approaching close to twice Tiger's age. He has played in a lot of "hope I make the cut" tournaments over the age of 70 which has diluted this figure for sure. Nicklaus holds the record with 18 major wins but did you know he also holds the record for most second-place finishes in majors? Nicklaus was runner-up 19 times....astounding. He also finished in the top 10 in almost 50% of the tournaments he played in! Not looking to debate who is a goat here but Nicklaus is most definitely the man if not THE man.

That’s correct. PWCC sold #1/4 a few years back and the photos are in their archive.

Honestly , not even sure why Upperdeck wasted their time making these cards with nonsense patches on them . Kills the card completely . Now, on the flip side , if they used tournament used material, these cards would be the cornerstone to an huge tiger PC

I consider the 1998 champions of Golf to be Tigers true RC. I do like the magazine cutout but I equally like the 1998 Gold foil RC. I bought as many as I could find as I believe they are somewhat undervalued.

There are more of these then the Gold Foil Version that I posted earlier in the Green Album. But a PSA 9 in this one is very hard to find.
Only 129 PSA 9's and 2 PSA 10's. (A PSA 10 of this card sold for 64K, before the 2019 Masters win last year and I still think that was amazingly undervalued)
The Gold Foil Version has 0 PSA 10's and 4 PSA 9's.
Of the Champions of Golf Master Collection there is a Black Box and a Gold Box that these came out of. The Black Box set is the "more limited" version. Tiger was on the bottom of the packs, so getting a high grade on a full black color card is next to impossible.
These are still very limited compared to other sports production releases.

In my opinion for Tiger Rookies it is as follows:

1. 2001 SP Authentic Rookie Autograph #45, #ed to 900 or Gold #ed to 100. (undisputed best RC of Tiger. In my opinion, this is the greatest trading card in all the market; of any sport)
2a. Tiger Woods Champions of Golf Masters Collection, Grand Slam Ventures
2b. Tiger Woods SI Kids
3. 2001 Tiger Woods Base Upper Deck Rookie #1. See the BGS 10 above.

There are other cards from the Rookie Years as I have mentioned in previous post. Ex Promo's, VIP Promos, Threads, Swatches, Sign of the Times, Players Inks, Preview, TJ1/TJ2 etc. All are really great ones as well.

That psa 9 card is so hard to find one. I submitted a bunch and got one myself. To me these are super undervalued. What I don’t think people know is the black boxes they all came in, the cards have bricked so bad on these. They tend to flake off part of the black on the edges when separating them. It only has a psa 9 rate if about 1.5%.
For me there is no other Tiger card to own in a high grade like that 9. Beautiful

I am submitting one to CSG and there is an option to purchase a thicker holder to fit the card. I want to be certain I need that option before purchasing it.

it is standard size card. you dont need a thicker holder. Great Card, show it off after graded!

A little embarrassed that I did pay that much.

It looks like it should grade at least a CSG 9 which means it would probably sell for at least what I paid. I will be keeping it unless God forbid I need money for something.

It was a consignment. Consignee said a lot of people were sending messages asking what it would grade. He said "...at least" an 8 or 9. Not sure why it wouldn't grade at least a 9.

Consigner was an older gentleman who had it stored in a box since he bought it when it was first released. I wanted it for the bold autograph. The photo in the listing in a scan and they always make ink look lighter. A lot of these are faded. It is bolder than the picture below.
