Why can't they just do the "are you a human" thing when you checkout? Select all the pics that are trains, etc.

Well that sucks. So when these bot bois buy from multiple accounts and cards, do they all get sent to the same address? If so they could limit to address I would assume.

They typically just alter the address several different ways (like Apt 2A, #2A, 2A and also using 123 Street, 123 St, 123 Strt) or use friends and family's addresses in addition. There's always a way around these things.

Target doesnt care people are reading into it too far. Target just sells they limit 3 to try to be fair but as for addresses they dont care

There’s a new anti-bot measure that I’ve seen work decently on sneaker sites. You draw a box around an object in the picture. Nothing is bot proof but that’s the closest thing I’ve seen work pretty well.

Clearly they do care, at least a little bit. Making certain products Red Card exclusive, putting in order limits, etc. They’ll never get rid of all the bots, but look how many people were able to manually get some Prizm BKB megas over the last 4 weeks. I got 3 last week and 3 this week. If Target really didn’t care at all, I never would have been able to get any without a bot.

If they really wanted to stop bots it would be fairly simple.
They just don't care enough to do it.

They just wanted to get people to sign up for Red cards. You think that was to stop bots? It was to increase red card saturation.

Any tips so you don't get signed out or they don't ask to verify your red card#? Last week I added to cart and then my account got locked. This week I added to cart and just couldn't checkout fast enough.

No guarantees this will work, but it did for me today. First I added the card to the app, confirmed it through email, etc. Then this morning I logged into Manage my Red Card on the app. That way I was all signed in. When I checked out 20 minutes later, it did not ask for my pin code this time so that saved a few seconds. I hope this helps.

I’ve heard people add a stick of gum or something to their cart (even checkout) just to verify everything is working. (You could always cancel the gum order right after )

What is this this “fairly simple” way to stop all bots? Admittedly, I don’t know anything about coding or website functionality, so maybe there is a way and I just don’t know what it is. I think the Nike SNKRS app has done a good job with this by moving everything to a raffle. Obviously, it would be ridiculous for Target to do something like that for just one product type that probably makes up 0.0000001% of all their sales.

Bought some Prizm Draft FB earlier today. It's nice to be able to buy some blasters for a change. Over the past few weeks I bought some score FB and some Stadium Club BB.

Bots are already legislated in specific sales situations. I don’t, like you, welcome government intervention - but it would be a simple expansion to just legislate bots out of all retail and sales space.

Buddy of mine who's in a bot discord texted me a pic of someone with a dozen RedCards. Apparently it's as easy as slightly changing your name/address. Those first 2-3 weeks were fun while they lasted.

You have to give them your SSN even for the debit card application, so I doubt its that easy.

I'd welcome this. Even if there are few prosecutions, it would drive the bot users underground and thin their numbers considerably. They've already got it for tickets and it has been proposed for retail items before with some public support from members of both parties, but seems to have died a quiet death. I

You do, which is why I thought the RedCard exclusive thing was a slam dunk against bots. All I know is that some people now have a ton of these RedCards -- way beyond setting up an extra account for a spouse etc. -- and I highly doubt they're resorting to hardcore identity fraud to get them. So I believe their story about slightly changing personal info.
