So landing a Brady NFT may give you exclusive or early access to the next athlete that drops their NFTs on DK (Wayne Gretzky, Tony Hawk, Naomi Osaka, Derek Jeter, Tiger Woods, etc). Application tied to NFTs will either make this a success or a failure. If they parlay these to events and exclusive access and merchandise, I can see this being a huge success. Look at what NBA TopShot has done giving its members the chance to win a trip to the NBA draft, meet players, win tickets, merchandise, and memorabilia.

The key to a lot of these NFTs right now is the access to other stuff it gets you. This is why TopShot should have a bright future since it is owned by the NBA. The same could be said for this since it was founded by Tom Brady himself. You would think he will add other stuff that will making owning it worth it. Only time will tell. NFTs from Topps and Panini are probably only going to have a future if they give you other stuff that encourages you to collect them.

From what I can see all the access of the ones today are the same. I only got lucky enough for the platinum one so I hope that is the case.

Do you need money already loaded in the DK account or can you put in your payment info when you go to pay assuming you're lucky enough in the queue.

Op said to load money in - I may strike out and leave it in for future drops, but from what I saw on Twitter, your Queue position does not hold an NFT. People had queue positions and had it sell out while they were verifying/adding payment

They recommend you have the money in your DK account ready to go. That’s what I did and check out took like 1 sec, couldn’t have been easier

Yup. The Q was efficient. After each item dropped, I either was able to buy it or it sold out in 3 minutes. Not much wasted time. If you have enough money in your DK account, the payment was one click.

Easily the best NFT purchase/experience I've had so far.

Don’t know if anyone is still trying here - I finally got a one - Wayne Gretzky /750 for $75. Was #3 in the queue and bought the 2nd one (showed as 748 left after I bought). Probably used up all my luck for the rest of these drops. Got 732/750 unfortunately

Got blue balled hard on the 24k sapphire plutonium /1500. Was like 2300th in line, and it actually counted all the way down to the very end and said I'd be redirected to the marketplace purchase page. At which point I was greeted with a sold out sign. All the rest of my entries weren't even remotely close.

Not even sure why I deposited $2k. I'll be lucky to score a Tiger bass at this rate.

At what point do all of these different companies offering NFT's hit their saturation point?

I have lost count of the digital NFT's out there for football player cards alone.

I think we are only seeing the beginning of this. Lots of different companies going to try things out. Some will stick. Maybe one will really take off and become a standard collection deal. I don't have any interest in them at all, but I can see the younger generation who want to collect digital, gamble, and having them tied to "gaming" in some sort of way being a big hit.

I am all for it if takes more of the speculation/gambling money out of the physical market.

I got the Jeter /2500 earlier today. Bought for 25, sold for 280. 238 after taxes, so net profit 213

I’ve done well on these, I got a Gretzky /5K and a Brady /1500 that I flipped for good profit

Went ahead and with today’s profit bought an Osaka /5K for 40 bucks just to hold and see what happens
