I opened roughly 15 boxes of hobby, I never pulled a gold chrome /50 nor did I ever pull a WHITE McDonalds High School Card.

I did pull black /50's and I did pull the BLACK McDonalds High School Cards.

I had to buy Blake Griffin and James Harden (White McDonalds Cards) off of eBay.

I am only talking about my experiences.

I never pulled a Black /50 out of retail, only hobby and jumbo (hobby).

I know what it says, but I was a scavenger in 2009-10, opening and talking to everyone, I never saw any gold or black come from retail.

Only talking about my experiences.

Congrats it is an awesome card and a PSA 10 may pull in a lot of money because of how condition sensitive the card is but it is not worth more than a gold refractor.

There are millions of examples of cards that are rarer not being close to the value of more available cards.

Do you think there is even one person with an Ebay saved search of Topps Black hoops for every 100 Topps Gold Refractor saved searches?

Your experience is barely a drop in the bucket. Sample size bro. Can't extrapolate anything from small sample sizes.

I agree Gold Chrome is way more desirable, I do.

I am just saying, the Curry Black is super rare, and it's Topps last year. I do think it is worth more than 1/4th of the gold chrome.

Plus, I have one lol.

I am not trying to do anything but talk about the small sample size that I can gauge from. If someone comes on here and says they pulled gold and black from retail, so be it, I would be very surprised.

Based on the info you provided, if you get a black parallel or a Gold Refractor every jumbo box, then you are probably pulling one gold refractor for every 3 black parallels.

Either way, there are still 50 Gold Refractor Curry's and 50 Black parallel Curry's inserted into the entire run of Hobby/Jumbo boxes. The odds of pulling either card out of a pack are exactly the same, assuming both parallels are included in both hobby/jumbo products.

Just wish I kept those boxes sealed.

Well, technically /50, but the first 10 were green the other 40 were red

That’s a special card for sure. Echoing what a previous poster said, I’d say the gold chrome will always be more desirable, but a high grade black might surprise everyone based on its condition sensitive nature.

The last number 50/50 carried this one. A non-special number in the same grade would go for less.
