A couple weeks ago I was thinking about moving 50 cards or so to the vault for free by 09/30/21, now not so much...

I'm sure this thread and/or future threads on the topic will continue. There's just a pause, as nothing new has be revealed and maybe people have run out of horrible analogies or jokes (not likely) about eBay and PWCC.

Looks like people hate feebay more than PWCC.

PWCC- Shill bidding, altered/trimmed cards scandal

Ebay: Allows shill bidding, protects buyers more than sellers, fakes/reprint cards, low ball offers, scammers, chargebacks, annoying and misleading listing titles....

So other than Probstein. Who are some other options for co-signing expensive modern cards now? I’m not a dealer or even a flipper so I haven’t built up my eBay profile enough to have limits high enough to sell some of my cards myself. But I’d like to think in a pinch if I need the money I have some place to quickly liquidate some modern cards that might fetch 3-6k each. I always thought PWCC would be the place to go for that but now I don’t know where the best place to go would be to get a fair deal? If anyone could provide a list of the best options for co-signers for modern cards worth between 1-10k that would be extremely helpful. Thanks

If anyone is interested in listening to the interview... Jesse Craig, PWCC employee and partner of card trimmer Will Jaimet, was a guest on tonight's SCL.

Weren't' 4SC (4 Sharp Corners) also involved in trimming?

I thought there issue were pretty spectacular grade favoring, like epic-out-of-this-world-how-did-that-get-a-10 and not 6 type of favoring, but not necessarily trimming.

Could be wrong, probably am.

Extended bidding on monthly auctions would be nice. Don't have to worry about sniping.

PWCC is in a tough spot here. They’re going to have to start practically from scratch and need to get high prices on all their auctions from the jump. If the sellers don’t get EBay prices for their cards they’ll just go back to EBay. Buyers will be looking for deals. If they don’t get deals they’ll be suspicious of shilling and go back to EBay.

PWCC had a reported $150 million in revenue from EBay. Every week off EBay without their own auctions will cost them $3 million. If it takes them 4 weeks that would be $12 million.

On the other hand EBay was making a reported 1-3% from PWCC sales. I think EBay will be fine with the $1.5-4.5 million loss in revenue. That loss is only if 100% of customers still consign with PWCC of EBay. If you were someone who needs money soon would you wait for PWCC or either sell on your own or with another EBay consignment group.

As you can see from last night's auction, and was predicted from the pro-PWCC and anti-PWCC crowd (much to their chagrin), PWCC is going to move forward just fine. High-end items won't skip a beat. It will be interesting to see what their mid and low-level auctions do though. That would be my only concern if I was a consignor. But any card over $500 will do just fine, IMO.

Agree with this 1000%. Plenty of people with no conscious where the card and money come first.

Here is a brand new idea. How about listing it yourself on ebay

Exactly, people are tired of Ebay , paypal and what ever polices they have for the last couple of decades against sellers.

Great to have options.

PWCC get raided yet? Last night seem to be a big success. eBay & Ricky are still open for business. Life is great.

La vita è bella except here

EDIT: Looks like the people who thought they can get some nice deals last night due to the recent news got disappointed.
