and to think, there are many people out there that feel the same way about physical cards.

You can rationalize the sanity and money spent on your collectible du jour however you like....but to call something crap, when you are in the physical card game? something about glass houses , stones etc.....

So I attempted 3 orders shortly following opening (1st for 3 premium packs, 2nd for 1 premium pack, 3rd for 1 standard pack), all resulting in "internal error" screens. No confirmation of orders, no emails, nothing. Then 3 charges appeared in my bank account. About 24 hours after ordering, 1 premium pack appeared in my account with no explanation.

It has now been a week since that lone pack showed up and no other packs have shown up, but the money's still gone from my account. I emailed topps and their response was a generic one that they'd get back to me in "1 to 3 business days" or more if it requires more research and because they're experiencing such a large influx of emails, and please don't email again or it'll move you to the end of the line. Well, that was 5 business days ago and no response.

Today I had to call my debit card provider and bank to dispute the charges for the packs that never showed up. It will take 10-14 business days to process. Fun.

Way to go topps!

Sounds about right. Super frustrating! On the plus side, you only ended up with 1 pack. I wish my orders had errors and didn't get processed!

I thought about the Haaland epic for $2k. Only 1/3 of packs have been purchased. Could end up being a low pop count card and if he goes to the Premier League…

Or people buying premium packs for 90-100 on marketplace when they can be had for 85 in the shop. WTH?

No, less than 10,000 premium and standard packs sold. So if it people averaged 2 premium packs per purchase than they will give away 5000 packs. Still plenty left. I think around 16,000 packs left.
40,000 standard packs left.
They really blew the launch. Bad pricing, bad experience, uninspired cards.

This might be the worst "card" purchase decision I've ever made. I suppose the only competition for that honor would be the BVB tins. I don't usually get something so wrong.

I mean *look* at them, if you pulled the trigger on that, then you need to slap yourself round the face with a wet fish a few times

... and it's the German league, outside of some star players nobody really cares for it at all outside of Germany - before Covid nobody cared. Bundesliga got lucky and for a time was the only top soccer league playing any football.

That will be interesting, so basically supply is cut by like 80%? The serial numbers and stuff will be super confusing. i.e. you have #1000 of 10,000 but the PR is really only ~2,000

It's going on two weeks now that I've been trying to get refunded for being double charged. It's absolutely ridiculous. The last update was yesterday where they said it was taking longer than anticipated to provide refunds since they are having to work with their purchase provider and platform provider to resolve these matters...
