so do dinger's drive up his prices ? or pitching performances like this ? that batting average continue's to dip . with a month left im hoping he can finish at 275 at least .

I say let him get 10 wins as a starter (hopefully one last start) then shut him down for the rest of the year pitching wise. He's exhausted.

i agree, how long will he be able to do this ? let's say he succesfully does it for 3 more years . does his cards still hold some ? or most of it's value ? i say yes . he would be forever remembered as the guy that can do it all .

I mean there's a reason it's so unprecedented...because it's damn-near impossible. I don't know how much longer he can do it (I have to imagine he'd be able to dig a little deeper if he knew the games he was playing were meaningful) but I'm loving watching it for as long as it lasts.

Roger Maris cards hold one of the higher vintage card prices due to only one record breaking year. Higher than several HOF’ers in fact.

Why the concern for arbitrary numbers that have already been demonstrated to not hold much meaning?

The homeruns/rbi/sb/wins/k’s already tell the story. The ops and era are just gravy.

Fluke or not isn’t the point. The point is he is not a HOF but did do something extraordinary and his cards have value die largely to that one extraordinary thing.

Just like Shohei. I’m trying to make the point that Shohei cards will always hold some value, simply due to this season.
